This might sound silly... hoping your thoughts will help me clarify my own....

IF we TTC as planned, problem is....

:babydust2:Having the kids bday's really close (Possibly same day):babydust2:

We decide in Jan to start TTC # 2 in Oct this year. I was meant to see my kidney specialist in early Sep which he has moved to late Sep (26th). This is all ok, however I've been told to see him before we start TTC. Which means we can't start till Oct (AF due 28th Sep).

My LMP when pregnant with DD was 29th Sep.

So... should I just let nature handle it...

I know that it could take months to conceive, I could have bub 2 early or late (DD was 2 days early) etc....

or wait until Nov to start TTC?....

Thanks in advance

I actually think its lovely to have birthdays close together so for me it wouldn't be an issue. Much worse to have a birthday around Christmas (combined presents) or New Year (when no one can come to any parties).

My birthday is 2 weeks before DS. I was kind of hoping for us to be the same day, though that would have meant he was 2 weeks early and I'd have had 2 weeks less of pre-natal maternity leave, my last vacation :-) So it worked out well.

I would go for it.

I just have a feeling that what's meant to be will be. DD1 and DD2 have 5.5 weeks between their birthdays. In between their 2 birthdays we have my dad's, MIL's and FIL's as well. So we decided to ttc around now, as March/April/May/June is a lot quieter for us b'day wise. Well, someone had a different idea and bubs #3 is due a week and a half after dd2's 2nd birthday in November.
I don't think it will really matter in the end, as long as each child's birthday is celebrated, I don't think that they'll mind.
Good luck ttc. :babydust2:

My DD1 and DS1 are born on the 25th and 26th of January......4 years apart.
DS2 was born 14th feb...... 12 years later (ie less then 3 weeks another bday)
DD2 and DD3 are born on November 11th and 13 years later November 12th (this year)

Hmmmmm obviously there is something in the air around those times of the year, even with all of the years apart!!

We have no problem with the days being next to each other........just that they are all so close to xmas!

For us we are pourposly TTC at the other end of the yr with #2 as these are the birthdays we have so far

DS - 1/4
DAD - 5/4
DH - 20/4
Me - 22/4
Sister - 29/4

and then mum and bro a month later... So we want all our other children to come at the later half of the yr lol so i completely know where ur coming from. I think with birthday parties presents a)its to much to organize in such a short space b) the expense and c) the spot light when #2 comes will be all on him/her IYKWIM..

JMO though :D

All my 3 are within a month of each other, and their dads is a month b4 too, which means 4 birthdays a month apart in a row. The boys love it, they see their brother get spoilt and know that they dont have long to wait b4 its their turn. I guess a drawback would be that its an expensive few months, but laybying thru the year sorts that prob out.
Goodluck!

Thanks so much for your thoughts - just hearing other people helps make my own more clear!

At this stage (as long as I get the all clear from the Dr) October it is!!:yelclap::babydust2:

My baby is due 6 days before my DS birthday and my birthday is 4 days before my DS birthday. So I'm likely to have all three of us within a week

I don't think it matters to much.... I don't mind my babies been close by I do wish my birthday was not in the middle... as for the babies they will have birthday parties a week apart. One one weekend and the other the next weekend... My main concern at the moment is my DS 1st birthday party.... I'll probably be in hospital :( so the planning of this is going to be terrible. Lucky he won't know when his birthday is and we will have to celebrate it this year when I'm able too.

As for presents you will have no worries with the July toy sales and layby :D

My brothers birthday is 13 days after mine, and it never bothered us. Mum always used to talk us into having a combined birthday party but we'd never give in

Although, there are going to be six cousins in our really close family, and five of them are born within June - Sept, only my DS is on his lonesome in February, which I kinda like for him :D
