Hi,

Little one is 9.5months old and refuses to bear her own weight! I see other babies of this age pulling themselves up on things or bouncing when held standing up! When she is held to stand up she pulls her legs up! She can do it but then quickly stops after a few seconds and the legs pop up! I know she has strength in her legs as she loves to kick and although not crawling she does get up on all fours and rock... I KNOW all babies are different but does anyone else have a baby who WON't bear her own weight? getting worried!

unfortunately i cant really help you on this one jessica, my son has always liked to stand up... he was pulling himself on the furniture by 7.5mths... and is now walking around the furniture at 8.5mths...

the only thing that i could suggest is perhaps something like a "jolly jumper" as that way she can use her legs but is not unsafe in a walker.

:D

Hi Michelle, tried the jolly jumper!!! We watched as a friends little boy bounced away giggling and laughing - then we put in our little one and "up went the legs" as she sat there and grinned!!

i am not entirely sure then, althou the image of her just "hanging around" makes me laugh...

perhaps someone else may have some ideas?
