Mothers Group Activities

Hi! I was wondering if anyone out there involved with a Mother's Group can tell me what sorts of activities they do?

I have joined a new Mother's Group and we would like to do something once a month.

Any ideas etc would be wonderful! Cheers! :thumbsup:

Not that we've been meeting religiously... but we've done the following:

* cafes
* movies
* lunch @ someone's house
* afternoontea @ someone's house
* two of us have enrolled our bubs in a swim school so we see each other once a week.
* we're planning to have a bbq with the hubbies soon...

My other friends have also gone to the local park for mothers' group meetings....

My mother's group meets weekly (although not all of us attend every week, now that some mums are working) and so far we've
meet at a local park
meet at cafes for morning tea/lunch
meet at someone's house (rotational basis), everyone brings food for lunch to share, this is very good once bubs are more active with rolling/crawling and not content to sit/lie in pram in a cafe etc.
gone walking in the local area to keep fit/lose weight
gone to the SAFETY HOUSE, to check out options for childproofing etc.
some of the mums/bubs go to gymborree, nursery rhymes classes at local library and swimming lessons

We are planning to have a bbq/party with the hubbies around the time when the babies turn one
We are also planning to go together to one of the parenting expos later in the year
We are also planning on going to a babes in arms session at the movies.
