Hi
My DS has recently decided to wake during the night at 8 months, although there doesn't seem to be any reason for this. Until recently he would go down at 7 without a fuss and wake between 7-7.30 to start the day. Now he usually wakes at 1.30 (although tonight it was 12.30) and then around 4.30, all we usually have to do is tuck him back in (or straighten him up in bed if he is in a sleeping bag) maybe give him his dummy and all is well. He starting doing this around eight weeks ago, at the time I was doing some part time work for a few weeks and put it down to leaving him. Now I worry its become a habit, he is just starting to crawl, has no signs of teeth coming through. The main problem is it takes me a while to get back to sleep.
Are there any suggestions?
Thanks to all
Karen

This is very similar to my situation. DD has been waking during the night ,about midnight and then at three and again at four. This has been for about a month. I think the problem started when her top teeth come down -( the bottom didd'nt bother her as much) Anyway my theory is - when they're teething they cry out to you and of course we go in and feed, cuddle, give panadol ect and by the time the teeth have come through they have gotten used to waking at these times (it always seems to be the same time, right?) I am just sick of not sleeping (like you I can't get back to sleep) Yesterday I cracked - I went and bought a grobag so i know for sure she's not cold. I gave her a late night feed and when she woke up at three, I ignored her, five minute later we were all asleep again till 6am! I will do this again tonight - I think I just may of sorted the problem out:fingerscrossed: Till some more teeth come anyway!
