Hi guys.
I have 24 brand new prefolds for my new bub but apart from knowing I should wash them before use I dont know what else to do with them.
Do I use a hot wash? Cold Wash?
Do i need to wash them more then once?
Is it ok to put them in the dryer?
What sort of detergent should I use?
Fabric softener?

:confused::confused::confused::confused:
Thanks
Kerrie

I'd hot wash if you can but cold with cold water detergent would be OK.

A couple of washes for cotton ones and a few more if possible for hemp ones.

Dryer is fine, not too hot though if possible.

Non soap detergent (ie not LUX), non enzyme and no built in softener formula is ideal and many people prefer a non-smelly, more natural or sensitive version.

Have fun! :)

i dont think hot/cold wash matters either way - i usually cold wash, but that's just a habit.
:yes:ok to put in the dryer.
Definately wouldn't use fabric softener as it reduces the absorbancy of the nappy
