My friend has what seems to be an irrational fear of giving birth. She would be happy if they just knocked her out and woke her up when its all over. She desperately wants twins so she only has to give birth once.
Another friend and I have tried to explain that although it hurts, it can't be that bad because we've both done it 3 times LOL. I feel that her fear stems further than just the pain of birth. She had a pretty crappy upbringing and is scared of what kind of family she would be bringing a child into.
Recently she has told us she has a gluten intolerance that may harbour her ttc efforts. Now I've never heard of this and neither has anyone else I've asked and I'm wondering if its a story she's manufactured as an excuse not to get pregnant.
I know her and her husband really want a baby but it kind of feels like she's sabotaging herself.
Can anyone help me help my friend?
TIA :)
