I was wanting to know - can chickenpox affect a womans fertility? I had it last year - very very bad and was thought i was getting menningytis (sp) from it. I also had it inside and out. Am still searching internet but havent found anything much.:confused:

I also had a look for you and can't find anything on the 'net about it. I'm sure that if it caused a problem there would be something on the 'net about it. So, reading through the stuff I found it's actually good news that you've had it already cause now you won't get it when you're pregnant and put your baby at risk.

People don't realise how sick adults can get when they get chicken pox ... my dh got it as an adult too and I nursed him through it. He didn't get as sick as you, but he was still very sick and off work for nearly 3 weeks, which for someone who doesn't normally take any sick leave is a BIG thing!

So ... if you are reading this and haven't had chicken pox or you're not sure, check with your doctor and discuss vaccination as an option!
