Hi My name is Kirsten. I have two children, a 12 year old daughter and a 7 mth old son. I have just realised I've suffered from Pnd for the last 6 mths. Although I'm feeling a lot better now, I'd like to meet up with mums who have gone (or are going) through this as well. I can't really talk to anyone about my feelings but really feel the need to.
It would be nice to form a playgroup. We could meet in a park, on the beach or at each others homes. For the ones(like myself) who suffer some anxiety as a result of the Pnd it's probably best if we don't have to travel to far with the kids.
I live in the city.
Hope to get some replies!

Hey there! I am not in your area, am in South Sydney. However, I have suffered from pnd with both my kids, and some anxiety too- and just want to give you a pat on the back for thinking of starting up such a group in your area, and wish you luck!
Hopefully your post will be like a lifeline to at least one person out there, I know it would've been to me (if i lived in the city)a couple of years ago! Well done Kirsten :yelclap:

Thank you! I hope someone will react. Apparently 1 in 8 women suffer from pnd, but where are they all?
Take care,
Kirsten

Hi there Kirsten,

I don't have or have ever had pnd, though i do suffer from a depressive state from time to time. I know it can be hard to express how being depressed really makes you feel... sometimes it doesn't make any sense at all. Well, that's what i find of myself!

I just thought that I'd pop my head in and say Hi. I live in Sydney - near Broadway.

If you want to chat you are welcome to pm me!

:) J

I had dreadful PND with my last two children. My kids are now older 14, 12, 8 and 4, but I still sometimes feel overwhelmed.

I'm in Randwick and would gladly catch up with you at Fox studios maybe? In the school hols we could drag the 12 years olds? Let me know and we'll organise.

:hugs:

Hi Kirsten,

I am suffering too. I would love to meet up with you and talk about the anxiety I've suffered being a new mum.
My baby is 8mths now - so our little ones should be about the same age?

It seems that everyone else is coping beautifully - and I am not!

I am in Randwick, I am happy to meet at Centennial Park or even one of our houses.

Anyway, let me know what you think. Maybe starting this will help some others mums too. Women are too hard on themselves and find it hard to say: "I am not coping!"
