Starting to get frustrated!

So here I am new to this forum!!

Have been off pill since Feb, really only actively TTC for past 3 mths, no luck and starting to get frustrated. Its hard when you have no one to talk to about this to (dh doesnt quite get it yet bless him!). Particularly when every 2nd person asks 'so when are you going to start a family??'

Bought a Maybe Baby kit 2 mths ago, its pretty neat and have seen 'ferning' around middle of month etc etc. Just wondering has anyone else had luck using this device to pinpoint ovulation??

Also keen to know, can you take a test too early? I bought one that guarantees a result 5-7 days before AF due but that seems a bit bizarre to me.

So yeah, any advice for this new wanna be mum would be appreciated!!

do you mean pregnancy test?
if so then these tests pick up the pregnancy (hcg) hormone earlier than other pregnancy tests. You start releasing this hormone after implantation.
If you tested any earlier then there would be no hormone to pick up even though the egg may have been fertilised.

I choose not to test until I am overdue because I don't want to know about a chemical pregnancy. This is when your fertilised egg implants but does not stick. In that case you would get a positive test because the hormone has been produced, but then you get af because it didn't stick.

I am pretty new to this as well. I have learned this stuff from being on here for the last couple of months.

I purchased a maybe baby and fell pregnant the first month of use. It really is accurate!
I have also just used the early style pregnancy tests and have got a :bfp:. I have tested for 3 days straight and the line is getting darker so I'm pretty sure the little one has stuck.
It can get frustrating and you just have to ignore the people who can't stop asking - they should know better.

ive been off the pill since feb and started ttc early june... pretty much the same as you :)

i used maybe baby this month and got absolutely nothing on it, but i dont know if i even ovulated so i cant tell whether or not it works

i agree with goldleader response about pregnancy tests

Thanks for your replies gals, its nice to know I am not alone in my impatience and feelings! Isnt is aweful wishing the weeks away to get rid of the 'unkowing'. Good to know I have venting room...hehe.

fyi, for me the Maybe Baby seems to be pretty good, I have seen the 'ferning' exactly when I am supposed to, today its 10 days since I first saw the ferning (supposed ovulation!) so about a week of waiting for me ahead. I will reserve my real 'product endorsement' until I am actualy up the duff though! :laughing:

Yep, will try and resist pregnancy testing until I am actually late...its annoying isnt it?

its annoying holding off, but worth it as if u dont get a :bfp: your still in limbo until arrives anyway! :laughing:

dont worry if u test early, i think most people do, they often just dont admit it until they their BFP and then they annouce it a week before their testing date (for the lucky ones that get an early response)...lol
