meet for the week 4th - 8th

Southern cross club in woden isnt too bad

but funfactory is good for the kids to burn that energy.. then us mummies get a nice break once they cark it later in day lol

Thursday or Friday would be better for me. Just cause it's a couple of days for C to get over her needles, apparently the oral vaccine they get now can make them a bit sick.

Thursday is better cause then Kim can come :D

But yeah, not fussed on where or when really. I'm pretty easy.

I was thinking maybe we could do a play centre one week, then at someone's house / a park or something the next? Just because it gets a bit expensive, especially if you have a couple of kiddies, going to a playcentre every week. Though it is good to just let the little ones run around and tire themselves out!!

But, as I said, not fussed really what we do this week. I think as far as clubs and stuff on this side of town, that the Canberra Raiders has a kids area that's been recently done up. Not too sure though, haven't been myself. Have you been Jen, it's a bit closer to you?

it sounds like thursday is a good day then and the Canberra Raiders play thing is ok not as good as the cross. and bec i like that as i can't make some of them as i don't have the money to meet at a play centre most times.

Bec, Em got the oral vaccination with 4 month ... the first vaccination was "only" 2 needles . Did we miss sth?

If the kids are all well on the day you guys decide to meet we will try to make it. Southern Cross Club is good and i do agree about it getting a bit expensive when there are more than one you have to pay for but I would still be happy to meet at The Fun Factory cos the kids love it there :D

Morning all,

I am pretty flexible with my days, we don't particularly plan anything at the moment. I do have the paed on Tuesday with Maddison so that would be the only day we can't do this week.

Bec I haven't been there sorry, I have been to Kid City (I think it is called) in Mitchell but apart from that I don't know of any other play centres or clubs around.

Of course Maddison doesn't participate anyway so I am open to where we meet. It is a shame the city doesn't have anything really suitable because then it is pretty much half way for most people to get to. It does get expensive when you have to pay to get into the play centres all the time, so it would be nice if we had somewhere else to go so it means people don't miss out. For those of us with under 1's it doesn't cost us anyway.

I will do a bit of research and find some good places to meet.

Isaac never had the oral vaccines, as they were introduced after he was immunised - but I think that they have the oral one now at 2, 4 and 6 months. Maybe ask the paed when you go and see him tomorrow? Maybe she didn't get it at two months because she'll get the oral vaccination later on, maybe a bigger dose at 12 months or something??? I really don't know how it all works *shrugs*

Nope, the 6 month immunisation did not include the oral one either. She had the oral stuff only at 4 month.

Sabine- the oral is for the rotavirus, ask your doc/paed because i don't think they give it to them after 6months, the rotavirus is more harmful to small babies than anyone else.

ok we have a toss up between wednesday or thursday.
and southerncross club seems ideal for most.

i love an excuse to get out. Hubby did a bit of work today and gave me some cash to get xmas layby off so one less bill to worry about in the festive season. Just so happens its a BIG W so i might have to wait until thursday before i go there so then i can join in the meet as well!

Tom's op for his gall bladder was postponed to this Wednesday, so I will be playing nursemaid this week.

if you park in the plaza car park you can exit down stairs near the cinema and walk past **** smiths and it's across the road, or you can park in the car park at the back just over the road from southerncross club.
