I have been off the pill since the 6th march and besides the withdrall bleed have not had AF return. For about 3 weeks I have been taking Premular, an extract of Chasteberry (similar to Vitex).

About 2 weeks ago, and then again almost a week ago my temps rose and i had positive fertile CM signs however my temps didnt stay up. We did BD both times as soon as I noticed just incase it turned out to be the real thing and i did take a HPT 9 days afterwards for the first attemp which of course ended up to be a BFN.

I was reading last night and the book was talking about how after the pill your body may release the hormone needed for ovulation, which explained the short rises in temps but the levels may not reach high enough to trigger the egg release. This sounds like what I am experiencing, I am getting the CM signs (which is supposed to be the better indicator) however despite me testing my BBT every morning at the exact same time my temps dont seem to show ovulation.

Has anyone else experianced this when coming off the pill? If my body is 'attempting' to release the egg does that mean that soon it will be successful? I am interested to know if this stage will last long or if it is a sign that things are moving along quickly... :fingerscrossed:

I know i am impatient... our friends just had a big healthy baby boy yesterday :smiliedance: which is fantastic but it is going to make me even cluckier!

My Fertility Friend chart is linked below. I tried to look in the chart gallery however you cant search on any that have no sign of ovulation. I thought there would be some since you can have a bleed (technically not AF) without ovulation.

Hi Nicole,

I can't be a great deal of help, because I never charted my BBT, but my first month off the pill was slightly long (34 days rather than 30 and 32 for two cycles thereafter), and felt 'flat'. As though I didn't get the normal highs and lows that I would usually get in my cycle. If someone told me that I had a long period of almost releasing an egg but not quite, I'd believe them. The second month almost was an over compensation for the first, with great big emotional lows and highs, it wasn't until the third month that I started to feel like a normal woman again.

I am sure you'll be completely different of course, but that's my story anyway ;)

Good luck anyway, I hope you catch or have caught the egg whenver it comes :fingerscrossed:

Can anyone else offer any thoughts or experience with this going off the pill?

Thanks!
