I'm an Albany girl, moved to Perth for uni 11 yrs ago, been back 6 weeks.
Married a Perth boy, and we lived interstate May2008- March 2010.
I'm a teacher firstly, but worked in the mining industry also.
This is our first child, due any second now. (ps that beached whale shivering in the ice cold water at Emu Point most days is me. trying to get the baby out:) )

I am a returning Albany mum (my DS is just over 6 mths) .. lived in Denmark then Redmond 6 years ago, left 3 yrs ago and heading back in two weeks time! So excited we loooove Albany and hope to buy property in the next couple of years.

So who's there/here?

Background info, I am 27 DH is 25 we have one aforementioned DS (6m :bee:) we breed alpacas for fun and both have respectable jobs for real income .. but atm I am a SAHM.

hey everyone, just letting you we have a little girl Abigail Rose born on the 27th Aug , we had a bumpy start and had to go to PMH in perth for 10 days ,but every thing is fine now and we are finally settling in at home and getting used to having a little baby.
good to see there is some more mums on here :smiliedance:

I made it to rhyme time last wednesday with my little Mr and he thought it was AWESOME! so going to make it a regular thing. I plan to go into town in time for his first sleep in the pram and go for a walk/grab a coffee/window shop (or actually shop) and wake him up for a feed just before rhyme time. If anyone wants to meet for coffee before hand let me know (PM)

So who's going tomorrow? I'm Kelly (curly brownish hair) and my little man Will has very dark hair with a screamingly large bald patch at the back. You can't miss us!

I have also booked Charlottes 18mnth old vacinations for the 29th april at Albany medical centre with Dr Karin Nel....anyone know of this dr...I asked for a female as i like to go to the same Dr ...if they r good my whole family ends up going to the same dr.

Anyway does anyone have any recommendations of female drs that r great in Albany or experience with the above Dr?

I checked the weather on foxtel and ALbany's weather was way better than ours OMG we have the a/c on 24/7 atm cos it is disgusting! anyway be careful girls ....everyone heard of the cyclone warning this weekend! flash floods.....Perth will b worse but there is still warnings 4 albany!

Albany today 98% humidity 20degrees ....i think it is due to the cyclone and perth is around the same with higher temps around 30 - 38.

yesterday was horrible- purska, I nearly went to zumba, but slept in instead!
I should be at rhyme time, our playgroup is weds morn, but the buses suck and I wouldn't get there till 1pm! for rhyme time the buses are perfect!
I'm up for a coffee!

Shull: I havent heard of this doc before but I know Dr Cheih Cheng at Southern Regional Med Group is really good... Soo nice and knows her stuff.

I have been in Albany for about 2 weeks now...Hubby had whole 1st week off to settle in and spend some time with us ...so anyway if everyone is still keen to go and get a coffee I would love to do that.

Also I went to the spencer park playgroup today ...does anyone else go to that here? Aparently there are playgroups closer to me but I just decided to go there. :) Anyway let me know about coffee :)

Charlotte is 17months.... the spencer park one is ok. Seems everyone is settled in and known ea other soo long as they all have more than 1 kid and have been around each other alot. I did tend to feel like an outsider i was quiet the whole time and im not usually. Charlotte didnt respond to any of the kids as they didnt seem to get involved with her so she just did her own theing the whole time and at the end she was in the sand pit and i played with her in there for about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs hahaha ...

Theres a play grp at 219 north rd, albany...I also was told about this when I was waiting for target to open and Charlotte was playing with this little girl there and I had a chat to her mum and I was saying gee she didnt even have that much fun at the playgroup I went to she suggested this one and said has good range of ages.

Also another mum there overheard and said that i should try toddler gym at pcyc. :)

Sorry about the delay in relying - when I have time the internet is down and when the internet is up, I don't have time - ahh! Frustrating!!!

Not sure about how you go with mobile and active bubbies, but I can find coffee shops stressful and rushed due to kids wanting to move and run around. I am happy for you to come to my house - I'll even cook a snack for us - so we'll even save money :cheerleader1:

Next Tuesday is fine with me, but 11 would suit better as I do a babyhands session at a daycare every second tuesday.

I won't have a BabyHands class on Tuesday anymore (due to break at the daycare), so 11 is still good, but feel free to come earlier if you wish. If you feel the urge you are welcome to bring something, but not necessary.
