Hi!

I am new to MCNs and was wondering if anyone could give me some opinions on flat nappies for newborns?
Best brand, best material, and where to buy them, etc.

Thanks.

You can get bamboo flats they are pretty absorbent. Otherwise prefolds and covers are a great way to go for newborns. You don't even have to snappi them, just lay the prefolds in the cover and put it on the baby. If you are after terry flats then the Canningvale ones are great.

I have some fabulous bamboo flats... they are so soft and silky, and trim! I can use them to stuff pocket nappies too - but just normal cotton terry flats are fine. Canningvale are teh best brand from what I hear - I just bought cheap ones from target, but they have thinned out heaps and haven't even been used much!

canningvale for cotton ones ;) They are LOVELY. Much nicer than the dri glow ones I originally bought. Prefolds are a good option for newborns though- a lot trimmer but absorbant too. Not sure what brands to recommend though, I am making our own.
