Just wondering if anyone knows when u can give your baby cooled boiled water - if so how much?
DS is 8wks old and FF but wants a bottle every 2 hours if not sooner, im just wondering if maybe hes thirsty as its cold here and we have the heater on all day so maybe hes getting dehydrated??
Any advice would be appreciated!! thanks :)

 I gave my DD cooled boiled water as she was a summer bub, but I can't remember what age I started, although I can't see any drama's giving it at 8 weeks.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I didn't think water was necessary for babies under 6 months.

I didn't give my DD water until she had started solids. Breastmilk and formula have enough water to keep bub hydrated.

It's not 'necessry' as such, but can be used effectively to space out a feed (as per OP) or as a way of forcing babies to release wind (as I've used it in the past)

OP - I wouldn't think it would be a huge issue, but you may actually find it more effective to just dilute the formula a little more (ie add an extra 20mls of water per feed or whatever). Are you sure bub is hungry each time (dumb question I know, but my 12 week old definitely isn't hungry every time ) or is he just bored/grumbly/windy/preparing to fill his nappy?? Or has he had a growth spurt and actually needs more in each feed?
