I was wondering if anyone could recommend a paed around eastern suburbs melb area. My Ds2 ( 15 weeks)has been diagnosed with a silent reflux since he was 6 weeks old. Although his current paed is very lovely, always call back everytime i have a concern with my ds, he practice in royal woman in parkville and is a very long drive. He doesn't think is necessary to see him again( saw him for the 6 weeks check up) and have been keeping in touch through phone calls.

I would like to get a second opinion in regards to his reflux management preferably from a paed who actually examine him.

If anyone can recommend someone who has experience with dealing with silent reflux it will be very much appreciated

Thank you:goodvibes:

Although I can't comment for reflux issues, we had Dr Bill Capell - he is in Box Hill on Elgar Rd just opposite the TAFE. He was fantastic, could not recommend him highly enough. We also had John Drew in the hospital (as Dr Capell was away for a few days) and he was fine, but a bit gruff-ish.
We had to see a paed again last year, and Dr Capell was on extended leave, so we were referred to Dr Tracy Coleman at Melbourne Children's Clinic in Camberwell. I thought she was terrific.
Best of luck.

My bub also sees Dr Richard McNeill. Our first paed was also useless. Logan suffers from Gastoesophogeal reflux (gord) among other things. Dr McNeill is fantastic. Very thorough. I'd recomend him to anyone. We saw him for a checkup on Tuesday, and while everything went fine, he still wanted a check up in 3 months and encouraged me to call him if I had any concerns between now and then.
