Hello
Just have a quick question for mums with teething babies.....once the tooth starts cutting thru the gum how long does it take to come thru fully? my dd has started to cut thru today, I can feel them but just wonder how long it goes on per tooth!!
Thanks :)

Hi
Seth's teeth were through within a couple of hours, in that the entire top of the tooth was through the gum. I think they're still gradually coming through but once the top of the tooth was out of the gum, he didn't seem to be in any pain.
Hope this helps

Both of my girls have cut their teeth within a day (the actual through the gum bit) and once it is all the way through the pain ends.
As for growing all the way out (so you can see the whole tooth), it varies. DD1's took about 4 weeks per tooth to be fully exposed and DD2's have taken longer - about 6 weeks so far and still coming further each day.

My girls are the same as schmells. They teeth cut through within a day, and then the pain was gone....
Took about 6 weeks for the whole tooth to come through altogether.....

Thanks for your replies. The two middle bottom teeth started cutting thru on Anzac Day and seemed to be thru by the next day (Well...I think....a bit hard to get a proper look in there at the moment....not that I blame her!!!). Now we just have to wait for them to come up. And my lucky DH missed all the stress as he is away at the moment for work. But poor mummy!!!:banghead:
