ok .. so feeding has settled perfectly ..

now Alex has thrown a tooth into the mix and I'm feeling really really grazed ... both sides are sore now ..

it passes doesn't it .. he is'nt going to decide that he LIKES that sensation???

he hasn't bitten yet (I know .. that will come) .. but the grazing is KILLING me .. I'm scrunching up my toes like I did when I STARTED feeding ..

xx
Jen

eta - I guess this is just a pity post .. it freaking hurts .. so .. some hugs and pats would be great :p

The first tooth is always so new and exciting for them so you do tend to feel it a bit more. Since Kaid got his first tooth at 5 months (10months ago) he has only just started to hurt me again now. So yeah it does past but they might do it every now and again.

:hugs: it will pass, dd thinks its funny now to bear down i swear shes loves it when i yell Ouch stop that, she looks at me releases her mouth and gives me a deadly smile lol and does it again.

It does pass though as freya said its a new sensation, try and give your nipples a bit of air too it seems to help

I remember with every tooth Cobes got (and he had all bar 4 by the time I finished) he'd have to reorganise the way he fed, and he'd do so quickly, wouldn't take him long to work it out...
:hugs: it does get better, otherwise we all wouldn't keep up :p

Another vote for the "it will pass" column. He'll get tired of it soon enough, it's just a new thing for him at the moment. :hugs: :hugs:

I am sailing in your boat too! DD has two perfect little teeth come through - I think they are so gorgeous and look so awesome until CHOMP!! Ooooowwwwwweeeee!

When DD is hungry she doesn't chomp at all. When she's finished a feed or is playing around she goes all chompy on me. It hurts so bad that its all I can do not to scream.

A BubHubber recently said that she says "No thank you" which is something I'm trying very hard to do. Its really easy to scream "NNOOOOOO" in the heat of the moment but very hard to scream "No Thank You". So I make sure I always say that in full as I want to be calm and in control of the situation when she bites. Anything else I had previously tried had resulted in her ending up in fits of giggles anyways

Now she's a few weeks into having her flash new teeth she's a little less enthusiastic with them and bites me much less. The calm voice and pulling down my shirt (to take a minute breather for both of us) has really worked. All babies are going to react differently but I'd say try a few different ways of expressing that its not on and he's hurting mummy and rest assured that (like all things baby behaviour) it will pass sure enough.

All the best!

i am not looking forward to daniel's popping through soon either.
you could always try a little bonjella on your nipple just prior to a feed and wipe of any excess just before attaching - helps to stop that toe-curling.

I got a few nibbles in the early days of teeth, but he hasn't bitten, nibbled, anything for MONTHS. It gets better Jen.

hundreds of hugs for you:hugs::hugs:. Well most people I speak with say that it passes but it hasnt for me :( DS is almost 8 months and has been grazing and biting me since he was 3 months (got his first tooth at 2 1/2 months) he now has 7:gloomy:. It doesnt matter what I do but he still manages to continue so I just learn to deal i'm afraid. I really hope it gets better for you. For some advice the way I got DS to stop doing it all the time was to take him off and let him have a little cry then put him back on. It worked until he got 4 more teeth:banghead:. Good luck hope your nibbling monster is nice than mine hehe.

Definitely passes :hugs:

And remember, the biting doesn't necessarily come and, if it does, it doesn't necessarily last for more than one or two experimental nips.
