what do clothies do.

Do you have a hidden stash of disposables for this reason?

Do you use cloth in hospital?

or do you wait and buy it b4 they need to go to hospital?

ME - i have them on hand as a just incase as weve been in an out a couple of times. but just wondering what other clothies do because ruby breaks in a rash when we use disposables.

Is it that much harder to use cloth at the hospital? (weve only ever been there for about 1-2days though)

When DS was in hospital with an extreme gastro bug we got sposies on the way as we had been thru all our cloth naps that morning, yes, the entire stash!

When he was there with a broken arm he was toilet training but DD2 was in naps and we used cloth until all that we had with us were used then we got a small packet of sposies from the hospital chemist to use. It was 3 hours to our house from the hospi so no way to get more cloth or wash what we had. If we were close to the hospi then i would cloth. Not much different to being on holidays if you are prepared ahead. We didn't know we were going to have to stay so were not well prepared.

The only time we've been in the hospital following a gastro bug, we took cloth - he was severly dehydrated and we could tell how often he was wetting then.

We went through our entire MCN stash of about 30 nappies and about 3 dozen flats in about a 48 hour period. Luckily I had more than 3 dozen flats.

The hospital was very good, cause I could tell them how many wet nappies he'd had in the prior 12 hours, which was 1 :(, every nappy was dirty though :(

We've never taken Asher to the hospital he's only been sick twice in his life.

He's never had gastro but he was lucky enough to just make it in for that gastro immunization thingy I've completely forgotten what it's called.

If we had to take him to the hospital it would be for something really serious our GP does home visits so If I ever need someone in the middle of the night I call them first.

But yes if we ever needed to go to the hospital we have an emergency spoise stash.
I also use them if it's been particularly wet and the nappies haven't dried in time but this is pretty rare.

The packet we have now has been sitting in the cupboard for months and I don't think it's even opened.

My ds had to have an operation when he was 3 months old. I used disposables because I was worried that my good cloth nappies might get thrown out. He had to wear a disposable to theatre, aswell as a hospital gown because they don't want to take responsibility for patients personal belongings. Everything just goes into the one rubbish/wash basket.

In his room, I was worried that a smelly bag might get disposed of!! I really wanted to be a cloth nappy pioneer, but wasn't ready to part with my stash to do so!!

Oh... if I was going in to the emergency dept because of an accident or illness, I would have to bring cloth because thats all I have. I wouldn't be stopping off for sposies on the way.....

Hey there, generaly Miki is admited in a cloth nappy as we dont usualy have time to change her before heading to the ER but once there she uses disposables i dont take them with me as they suple them at PMH they dont like you to use cloth there as they weigh the nappie for the input out out charts

After the mast discharge from hospital miki is stil in yuky sposies as she is leaking badly from her stomas and im totaly hating having to put her in nasty pants, hopeing to get her back into her BBBs very soon
