Hey all! :)
This non stop rain is starting to drive my son and I a tad insaine now after being couped up indoors for some time.
We moved here to WA at the beginning of the year and I've been somewhat lazy in getting out and about and meeting other mums and kids for DS to have a ball with.
We were going down to Freo a bit and meeting up with a few there but now with the fuel prices being crazy I decided to give up the car to DF to use for work and back so have only been literally walking back and forth to our local parks and the reserve around our area which is getting a bit too "groundhog" and the rain isn't helping much, so thought it was about time I got my **** into some sort of gear and try to meet some new people and see what is on offer around where I live that I don't know of....
I live in Yokine just a couple of blocks from the Reserve and the Local Pool and do my grocery shopping in Dianella (will look into the library there on Thursday for activities I think ;) now that I have residency ID) and some weekends we go to Centro Galleria in Morley to catch a movie/have a Wendy's shake/bludge around.. etc.:D
Would be great if any of you girls live around these areas and would like to meet up or go for a walk or just whatever.... I really just need to get a social life back as I really have lost touch on it lately and do get a bit nervous but thought I'd better try breaking that with some nice understanding mums if possible from this site. :shakehands:
Okay time to stop :ecomcity:ing now. :o
Hi and welcome. I live in Beechboro with my 3 year old daughter and am quite often at the Galleria and sometimes even the Dianella shops. Have a browse around the threads as we are always meeting up somewhere to get out of the house with the kids.

 and welcome to bubhub
we moved to Perth in February so I totally know how it is meeting new people and such.
The ladies in here have been fab!
My DH works away and I have found so much support from the Perth ladies.
One time I was hugely sick and so many of them checked on me and offered to help with my DS and basically were just F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S :smiliedance:
Ok can you half tell I love the ladies in here?
Anyways I'm not far from you, I don't have a car at the moment also but it's very easy for me to get to the galleria.
Keep an eye out for meets and if you would ever like to catch up for coffee PM me :D
I was about to say 'i have a friend in Yokine not far from the reserve and realised it was you Hydz lol. ...
You know there was going to be a meetup at Kings Park during the school holidays but it didn't go ahead cos it was rained out and I had sort of got together a few pals from playgroup to go on the train with me. Eve had a cough that day so didn't go either way. If it was a goer I would have given you the nod to get your butt into gear and meet us there :)

Hi I'm Steph
I live in Ballajura and would love to catch up sometime. Yokine is not too far. Movies, shopping, coffee, whatever......
I keep on complaining I have few friends with kids (who I hardly see :() and need to make friends who are close by and we can catch up regularly.
I haven't even been to a Bubhub meet yet :o But some of us all live so close, I've probably walked past you all in the shops at some stage

Hi all,
We are also new to Perth, moved here in June. Originally from SA, but had been living in New Zealand for about 14 months where our DD was born in Feb 08.
We are in Innaloo, not far from the Westfield actually, and I've been looking for a mothers group to join.
Didn't realise that there were so many of us new to Perth...
Have been going a bit stir crazy lately, not sure if it's the weather, not knowing many people or perhaps the baby blues just took 5 months for it to kick in?

:wave:Oh WOW, there's quiet a few responces here, YAY!!!
I'm soo excited!! Looks like I can start to make a plan or two...:D
Cerridwen ~ Hi!!!
mum2cheekymoo ~ I'd love to catch up for a cuppa! We drove down from the Top End, so it's a huge change, never lived in a 'city' like this before.
little mermaid ~ WooHoo, you live soo close, we'll have to go for that walk hey, maybe take the kids to the new park at the reserve that my DS loves.
Kazamataz ~ I love your user name! Nice flow to it!
Soo good to see you got alot of support from others in here, so lovely!
We'll have to arrange a time that suits cause I'm more then keen to go to the Galleria, it's been a couple of weeks now, LOL!
Maybe a movie or lunch or a simple cuppa if you want, up to you, I'm easy.
KJEmum ~ Ahhhh Anna, howdy howdy!!!
Thanks for coming over yesterday, as you already know I had a great time with you and the kids. So glad too that I came along to IKEA with you, what a HUGE store that is!! You know we were there for over 2 hours!! LOL! (So DF informed me when I got home) Ha ha haaa..
He was soo happy for me though to get out, so THANKYOU! your a darling coming all this way! *MWAH*
LittleMissyMoo ~ YAY, another chickie close by and OHHH I'm sooo very interested in visiting your mums group! Are you sure it's cool though as I'd break the 'Dec06' part of it... I'm really really keen though as that's what I really need, a 'mums group', it'd be great for DS with all the other littlies around his age to run amok with and for me too of course, the more the merrier, I am a bit nervous though but give me some time and I'll get past it.
banana ~ Hey you!! Yep I know you, well sorta, LOL! I have you on my msn but I haven't gone any further with it as I actually got you mixed with someone else so wasn't too sure, but after a chat with Anna yesterday it's all cleared up to me! Sorry bout that, will deffinately pop in and say hi to you there when I see you on next, and your quiet close too so we'll also have to make a date!
JordansMummy ~ Hi Steph, I haven't seen the map yet of where exactly Ballajura is but since you said it's close and you too sound like myself in needing to have a 'catch-up', would you be interested in doing one of the above things with another member and myself included of course, like a cuppa, a movie, lunch at the galleria food court, a walk on the reserve (mainly walk to the park I reckon it'd be, lol)....
Just thought it might be an idea was all.
I of course though still need to make arrangements but if your interested I can PM you details once I've got details myself sorted, or if you want we can try something else out.
Mrs Mining Man ~ Awwww... cluckity cluck, you have a new little bubba, awwww... I'm always up for bubba cuddles!
Like I just said to JordansMummy (just above), are you interested too or would you be keen on something else, maybe something closer in your area, like Westfield shops etc... (I only know those shops cause I past them yesterday when I went to IKEA)
PunkyDiva ~ Hi ya to you too!
I'm soo excited and a tad overwhelmed, I didn't realise there'd be so many fab mums interested for a meet with me and that live close by! YAY!
I'll keep my eye open for other things happening in here too, seems to be something happening regulary now I've had a peep, I'm soo glad I found this forum. Thanks girls! & :hugs:
xox
bum, I had too many smilies for you all, only allowed 6 so had to delete a heap!
Hydz Yeh was a great time at Ikea. Shana I had meant to ring you from Heidi's house but forgot and remembered when we got there. I sent and email to DH and told him we were there for approx 2hrs. Your area especially the roads going to Ikea reminded me of Sydney especially when I drove to Parramatta. For a sunday it was very very busy along the road. I couldn't live where you do, I prefer Rockingham :P
I would love to go to Ikea again and have lunch there lol. Not sure when I'll have some spare $$ again .. grr to DH not giving me power of attourney prior to him going OS. I could have done his tax return and got my centrestink $$
Hope you get to meet up with the ladies here .. wish we were closer. Jess is so good with Eve, she would make a great entertainer for zack also lol.
I just spoke to my friend Joni in Finland and he noticed my msn saying 'i love Ikea' and he said 'i get traumatised from Ikea' lol.
xx
