I have no idea about my child because he's only 4 but my niece is dyslexic. She now has blue glasses. When she went for her test they got her to look through different colour and blue was the one she could see best with. In her case she's reading d's and b's and a few other differnt things. Right now she's at a special school in Sydney to help with her reading. The poor girsl there for a month:eek:. but yeah they do as much as they can to help the kids. I'm not sure where they got all the tests done but maybe google it and see if it comes up.

I dont have a child with it but my sister has dyslexia (she is 25 now!)
I cant remember how they found out but I would maybe dicuss this with your doctor, I think they can do tests to diagnose.
With my sister she was clever but could not put it on paper. They found that using coloured paper can help. She also spells words how they sound.

my brother was dyslexic and no-one picked it up until he was in year 10 in high school.
my dad was also dyslexic and he has completed 4degrees....so dyslexia doesnt stop anyone from achieving.
my bro went to a clinic in northern NSW and they sorted it all out and he finished his HSC last year and did really well.

Google SPELD and the Irlen Clinic. They will be able to help heaps. My 11yoDS has dyslexia and recieves tutoring for reading and writing. He was assesed at the SPELDWA centre.

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if their child who has dyslexia, when they were a baby and they started to clap, did they use both hands and bring then together or did they just clap with one hand. I have an adult son with dyslexia and a 10mth old, I've noticed that he doesn't clap with two hands and am wondering it this maybe could be an indication.
