What are the chances??

Hi,
Just wanting your opinions. I am on cd 13 and Husband is sick in bed with the flu. I reallly seriously suspect I am ovulating as CM is really white and stretchy (sorry TMI!) We BD on Sat night Day 10 and on day 9 what do you think the chances are that the spermies are still alive up there and fertilising? Is it still possible for me to get pregnant? Can't believe he is now sick right on ovulation!:thumbsdown:

They can live up to 5 days maximum 7 but normally about 3 days so I think your still in with a chance... And the shettles method of trying for a girls says to stop 3-4 days before O so you never know, it you do get pregnant you might get a girl this time (i'm sure that you would mind either gender though:D )

DH will be feeling better later on and you can still have one more try for the month:thumbsup:

pre warning on TMI...

When we were ttc, I wanted a girl and so was really counting on 4days before ovulation. This happened to be when DH was sick with (cold or flu - can't remember). I remember him saying - if you want my sperm, you have to come and get it yourself. Okay - I took advantage of him, but did try again two days later as well (just in case). Anyway - now 27weeks with (from all accounts) a healthy babygirl!:smiliedance:

Just for the info - I thought I should be ovulating on the Tuesday, the first day was Friday night, then Sunday morning - I put a stop to it after that as I was sticking to Shettles and the idea of 2-4 days before ovulation.
