My son is almost 8 and all of his life he has refused to sleep in a bed. He sleeps on the floor, under his bed, in his toy box, hehe in his cupboard, on my floor but not in his bed !! he also will not sleep with clothes on No matter how cold it is. I think he was a tribal person in his last life  Does anyone else have kids like this? It doesnt worry me as it doesnt worry him and I alwys put him to bed in clothes but every morning I wake up and I have to search around the house for him. I have always had to have good locks on the doors for fear of him going outside to sleep!!!:D

That's cute :D

I haven't had this problem (yet, DS is only 2) but I remember growing up I would wake up every morning and my brother was on the floor! I think this went on until maybe early teens

yeah, I dont have this situation, but my DD2 is ment to be a stripper for sure, as soon as you dress her, she has torn it all off.

But yeah if it doesnt bother him, and doesnt bother you, who care, he will get out of it in his own time.

Maybe not sleeping in clothes, my DH never does no matter the weather,

Would he sleep on a matress on the floor??

LOL thats funny my 3yo hates clothes but will wear boxers to bed. DD my oldest used to sleep with her legs on the floor, standing up with her head on the bed, i dont know how or why but she did it

It is really cute but he has scared me a few times One night I went to check on him as I always do before I go to bed and I could not find him anywhere searched and searched and he was in his toybox (uncomfortable!!) completely naked lol he slept on a matress in a little tent for a while and now I have a mattress on the floor under his loft bunk (WHY did I buy this  ) But he does not stay I have tripped on him a few times to in the middle of the night I have given up on trying to keep him in a bed he sleeps well so... lol

kids do the strangest things:rolleyes:

as a child i would get out of bed (apparently) and have my pillow lined up with my closed door and my mum couldnt open the doorcoz my fingers would be poking out underneth them, god knows why i did that, i must of been a weird kid! i did that for about 2 years though.

I have been thru something similar with my ds1. He refused for his daytime nap to sleep in his bed, would sleep on the floor, the foam pull out couch, behind his door making it really hard to get into the room. At first I tried to fight it but decided that he would sleep in the big bed when he is ready and sure enough like most things with kids it was a phase and he is now much better, only from time to time do I find him asleeps on the floor. Go with the flow if you are not worried, they will work out the bed is more comfy then the floor.
