Well. I did it. My little man is sleeping in his "big boy" cot for the first time tonight:crying: . I feel so weird that he wont be sleeping in our room anymore. Im gonna miss him being with us but I feel that it is time for him to be in his room. I wanted to cry when I said goodnight to him, I feel funny and lost. I know this is probably normal but I just need some reassurance. Did you all feel the same at this time? Did I do the right thing, ahhh, I feel so sad, my little one all alone in his room. Im just being silly, I know, but Im finding it hard. Sorry to whinge about this girls.:o

Awww...i can imagine how ur feeling. My daughter is 12months now & ive decided to move her to her cot as my little sister who is 9 years old still sleeps in the same bed as my mum lol. I know it will be hard coz i always snuggle up to her at night but i reckon it will feel good to have that extra space on the bed as she takes up most of it spreading out as much as she can!!!!

awwwwww! I know how you must be feeling!! We've had our baby (16 month old baby......) sleeping in our bed since he was a NB and have just started putting him into his cot to sleep....it was either that or get a bigger bed!! And yea the first couple of nights were really hard but its getting easier. Im not as brave as you though - his room is all ready for him to move into but i still cant bring myself to move his cot out of our room!!
I have been told by other friends that they found it easier to make the transition to seperate rooms by putting the baby monitor on so they can at least be lulled by their bubbas breathing....

It's tough isn't it:crying:
When ds went to his own room at night we were living in a smallish unit and the bedrooms were right next to each other. Even so, I had the baby monitor all set up as close to my head as possible with the volume all the way up..........when ds woke up I could hear him from his room and on the monitor:eek:
Afer the that the monitor was put away, I could hear him perfectly well without it. The funny thing is, I felt all sad for him being in the room all by himself buy he was fine, it was me who was :crying: !!!!
well done..
I know how you must feel its so hard cause they seem so small....
and it doesnt help that im scared of the dark and dont like to sleep in a room by myself... dh thinks im odd! LOL
we need to make the move too soon.. Im so scared for her... but I know I have too
