I was wondering if any mums or dads in the ipswich area would be interested if a toy library were to start up in this area? if you could let me know your feelings or if you have any questions about the toy library let me know.

i am in brisbane but still fairly close to ipswich. we would love a toy library in the area. i think that it is a really good idea for the parents who are unable to buy many of the larger toys (and more expensive) for their little ones.

Great idea! Put your business thinking cap on and get planning.
Whereever there are parents of young children, there will be a need for a toy library!
And you can always advertise on BH!

A toy library would be great. Our closest one is in Amberly.

thanks for the vote of confidence, apparently there have been 2 toy libraries out our way in the past 6 years and both of them were unsucessful. but if i could get enough people interested in one then, i would seriously consider finding out more about how to open one. i am in the same situation, i cant afford to buy the bigger toys and so i decided to look for a toy library, to hire some of those from but couldnt find one except for over the other side of brisbane.
thank you for your help

Hi, I too thought about this a little while ago when I was searching for a Little Tikes Activity Garden for my DS and I got the number of one in Brisbane and the prices were just ridiculous!!!!
I thought about the prospect of running one as well, cause there are plenty of great toys out there and often I find ones at terrific prices, but I never have the know-how to do these kind of things!!

It would be a great thing for the ipswich area as there are alot of mums and dads that are struggling to find and buy toys for their children, especially the big toys, like the activity centres and cubby house, swing sets etc. but would you use it, if it were to open in ipswich? depending on the prices etc.
its just that with 2 already having closed down in this area i want to be sure that its worth it, before i really start getting into it.
and thank you rell for pointing out that the playgroup has a library, but not all of us are members, so are unable to utilise it.
thank you everyone for your support as well
