Got email from 60 min

Hi everyone .. I was wondering if anyone saw the thread that was put in by the Producer from 60 minutes ..

On Tuesday I received a email from them they wonted to talk to me ..

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on wether I should talk to them or not

Part of me says yes but part says no... what do you all think..:confused:..:confused:

If they want to talk to you via email or phone, I think you'd be fairly safe...they are still in research mode....ask them what angle they want, what they want to ask you specifically.
If you get to interview stage, you can always shut it down, you are in control.

The thing with 60 MIns is that they don't waste time, they won't chase you for a non story so if they feel you don't have anything to add to their story, they won't be hounding you. Ask them what they want and if you feel comfortable with it, well go with it, otherwise let it die :)

If it was a story on the positives of big families I'd say go for it. I think in our society bigger families are not looked upon kindly I would like a chance to change poeples minds and encourage people to have larger families.
In the olden days bigger families were the norm nowadays cost of living etc change alot of peoples mind because they know how much of a struggle it was when they were growing up.
You would be one of the rare people who would have 10/12 people in a familiy.
I think you really have to find out what their story is about so you can put forth you view.

It's up to you - but putting yourself "out there" is a big decision (BTDT!)....

60mins has just been canned by Channel 9 anyway, so maybe they won't run with the story anyway.

You could always talk to them and see what they want - what story they would be doing etc and then it is up to you whether you want to run with it.

I would be interested in the story though - I love big family stories and it's not that common these days so I guess they may want to know what it is like to have a big family today and how you cope etc.
