Poo Question nice I know!!

OK JJ is breastfed and 2 weeks ago his poo's had what looked like curdled milk in it, but normal mustard colour. Then he got quite ill and the DR finally worked out he was blocked up. And he has a few poo's of that tar consistency like when they are first born except not black. Now it's back to being very runny and mustard.

I know BF baby poo's are all different I'm just curious about the curdled milk appearance and why that happens. eg over-feeding, or what-not.

The curdled poo is due to a lot of lactose being present in the poo - it isn't a lactose intolerance and don't believe anyone that tells you it is :p It is due to "over feeding" (wrong term but too buggered to think of a more suitable one right now) and basically what happens is JJ's body recognises it doesn't need all the milk his heart and soul are demanding so he poos it out, in the process dropping a lot of lactose (lactic acid) which curdles the poo.

Nono, that implies that you are giving him more than he should get. And it isn't that at all - he's getting exactly the right amount (as much as he wants) and dealing with the excess internally :D
