Hi Guys,
I am having a boy and i am finding it REALLY hard to pick a name!! I like Jackson caleb and i like Ryan and Dylan.. But i really cant pick. I think being single makes it harder! Maybe not... haha I cant even name an animal! Help me please if u have any ideas on names

We tossed up between Jackson and Ryan when my son was born (great choices  ).

When we couldn't decide, we looked up the meanings of the names - Jackson was simply Jack's son. Ryan meant Little King.

Thus we picked Ryan - made it simple !

Good luck with choosing the name !:fingerscrossed:

My preferences, in order

Caleb
Jackson
Ryan
Dylan

Jackson was always my fave boys name, but is so common at the moment, and i don't like overused names. That said, the reason it is so common is because it is such a great name! Caleb is gorgeous, and it suits an older person just as much as a baby. Ryan is a lovely name too, but Dylan reminds me of 90210!

My fave combination is Caleb Jackson.

Good luck choosing

HI!!
I just bought Cosmopolitan pregnancy...and there is a free lickle book of names - thousands of them...I had not heard lots of them amazing how many there are...suggest you take a look.:D .. I not had to think about names too much as always been either Holden Michael for a boy or Matilda Rose for a girl (long before Heath Ledger called his girl that i hasten to add!) Think Dylan really nice, great poet too!!...agree lots of Jacksons at the mo...but if you really like it shouldn't stop you from using it :D If you cant find cosmo pregnancy let me know and pm me your address and I'll post you this little book...oh I know you not mentioned this name but I really like Zane - couldnt ever use though as an ex's name!!

Georgie ;)

Thanks for ur input(s), Its just so hard for me! lol! My brother and his girlfriend both 26 keep callin him Farquar... They know it really upsets me but they all think its a great joke! Every name i come up with they tend to say something rude about it! They have no children of their own so they dont know what its like!

when i was with my ex we were going to call him Zachary Daniel but i cant use that anymore being my ex is Daniel and i just cant go with Zachary coz it was his idea!

Anyway thanks!

Tell your brother and his girlfriend to grow up...saying that once moght have been funny, but to keep going with it is stupid.

As for names...do you have a fave person who you might like to name your bub after? It doesn't have to be a male...you could use the letters of a female friend/family member to make a boys name.
I plan on doing this if I have another son, using my best friends name, she passed away a few yrs ago. If I have another daughter then I'll just use my friends name...or maybe shorten it somehow...
I do agree with whoever suggested choosing a middle name first, that definatly made things easier for us :)

May I suggest that you don't tell them the names you like.... my DH and myself are going to tell the sex but not the names, because some people get a little rude about it, or tell you stories about pple they know with that name.... it kind of puts you off a bit. After all, it will be your baby, and you are the one who carries it around inside you for 9months, (and looks after it after that!!) you should at least be able to name it whatever you like!!

They will all get used to the name when the baby is born anyway!

Boys names I like are: Liam, Levi, Noah and Dylan

I have to agree with ikis84, from my experience telling people the names you like only leads to ridicule, shock/disapproval or very negative reactions. When I was pregnant with DD, we did tell our closest friends and family the sex and we did test out a few names on them, but the reactions were not good. An example, my DH liked the name 'willow' and 'winter' for a middle name, he was quite hurt when his parents just burst out laughing when they heard the name. Also during my pregnancy we referrred to our DD as 'zoe', so that when she was born and we didn't use the name, quite a few people were miffed and couldn't get used to her name.

Boys names that I like are Dylan, Ryan, Liam, Noah, Byron, Zane. Good luck with choosing a name for you baby!!

Yeah, I learnt this one too late myself.

Her middle name is kinda under wraps (a few people know it, and I accidently told my dad) because I'm sick of people telling me how much they hate her first name :crying: I don't want to have to deal with her full name..

I said to Chris, next baby will be known as Barry or Frank.

You've already had heaps of suggestions, but I just had to reply because my two brothers are named Ryan and Dylan! Both names I love. Ryan's middle name is William after his grandfather, and Dylan's middle name is Matthew. My mum has a thing about names ending with the letter "N". :D

I love all of the names that you said. I have to say i really do prefer 'Jaxon' rather than 'Jackson' as the second one, as others have previously said, sounds a bit too much like a last name.

I really love Ryan the best. Perhaps you could have Ryan Caleb or Jaxon Ryan

Sounds good :D Its hard to decide isnt it! Let us know what you decide!
