Tom Price ?

Hi all,

Hubby & me are considering moving to Tom Price with our 2 year old twins(b/g). Can anyone tell me what it's like living in a mining town ? Is there anyone who lives there or has lived there ? Hubby has a fifo job now, so we're used to him being away.
I have only lived in Europe and Perth (+ lots of travel)and have no experience with living in a mining/countrytown. Is there heaps to do with the kids as I'm a stay at home mum ? What's the community like ?

I cannot help you regarding Tom Price but just wanted to suggest that you might want to try and post this in the "parents with partners who work away" chat area (it is right above the "parents in remote area" where this is posted)

i dnt live there but my dad used to stay up there heaps for work his not a miner lol and he hated it i dnt think i could live there no big shops id die

im moving to Tom Price at the end of September, i went and had a look around town and it look really nice..im excited =]

Tom Price is awesome !! There are a couple of us from there in the North west thread :)
