Lochie had his interview today with Bettina, and i thought they where ok.
Yes it's $395 but i said that i dont have that up front as i am a single mum, she said that if they want him then they will keep his spot till i can pay it, and that they used to have a pay it off system but to many ppl didn't.
She also said that they only have 20kids per size and gender, which i thought that sounds good.
she's going to get back to me in a couple of days to tell me if they want him, they look at there books and make sure that they dont have too many like him.
But i want to know what other ppl think of Bettina have they had work from them??
what do you think about them??

Hey sara yeah i actually got a call back yesterday, they said to try again in 6mths, she said that they had a couple of other bubs his size that had the same kinda look, but she still kept saying how georgous he was i actually thought that he had it because of how she was going on about him.
but it made me think maybe if i hadn't said up front that i didnt have the $400 he would of got it.....
i do think that they are good i have heard good things about them, but when you send the email make sure you add pis and if you here nothing from them for a bit send it again.
good luck

That's a really good sign tho, because if they were rip offs they would have tried to get him in straight away to get your money. Any way, I used to do alot of acting, and a friend of mine who is in casting has worked with kids before and said there isn't that much work for under 18 months, and that you get a lot more calls when kids are between 18 month and 4 years, and then again between 9-13. So Try again. And he is a spunk. I think I might have the smae problem as you, because cruz has the fair hair/skin and blue eyes look. We'll see, will let you know.

bettina have litterally thousands of kids on their books and to be honest it is really hard to get anything, my son has been in a modelling agencey for the last 9 months with a company who only keep 400 on their books and they rarely call, but i know the owner who used to be a modell and her 3 kids are models aswell and she went to put her kids in both bettina and brightstars and the women there told her they have quite a few kids on their books. But i dont want to detere you away from it but just keep in mind that they can put on a good front to get you in the door, and they all seem really trust worthy then you do your photo shoot and pay your fee then wait by the phone for the next year. best of luck though, i saw your pics and your little one is gorgeous

thanks yackysmum, i'm going to just wait and see what happens with them all. i would have thought that the cheaper ones would have hundreds on there books which is why i have tried to stay away from them.
but that being said i have just emailed tinlids and there fees are only $140.
all the others that i have heard are good have said there books are full (which i guess is a good things cause there not just taking my money). as i said ill just wait and see what happens

Hi all,
Just thought I'd share the good news! I took my daughter to Bettina on Thursday and they called me back today, saying she's been accepted, and that they can arrange for a photo shoot this Friday, but I don't think I'm gonna spend so much money......
The other alternative you guys can do is list your bubs on the website www.AT2.com.au, which is a database of all models/actors/extras etc.... for only $55, compared to going through an agent. That way you basically manage your own bub, and save the big bucks.
Personally, I think you can take better pictures of your bubs at home, cos they're in familiar surroundings, smiles more naturally etc....and only for a small cost too. Take heaps of pictures and only develop the good ones. I'd had thousands of photos taken of my DD and only at a fraction of the cost it would cost to get them done at a studio.

thanks for that big_mama i didnt relise that you could do that i think i'll look into it. I just feel that the companies, target ect would prob prefere to deal with an agency

oh sorry big_mama i forgot to say congrats at getting into bettina :smiliedance: :smiliedance:
from what i have researched they are one of the better ones to be with
I am also looking for an agency and have an interview with Bettina tomorrow. However I have just looked at the AT2 website at Big_mama's suggestion and they are quite big with over 80% of castings in the industry going through them!! It looks like the casting agents go through AT2 rather than a modelling agency so it could be and option for my DD (also cheaper) rather than Bettina. Good luck with whichever option you choose :smiliedance: .
