Jessie Mcpherson ..??

Hello,
Was wondering if anybody has any information/experience with Jessie McPherson hospital..??
Im due in December and was wanting to go there..
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated..

I have not been there in the maternity section, but I have been there as a patient 2 years ago and they were fabulous!

Hi, I have not had a baby at Jess McPherson (Clayton Melbourne), but my husband and I went on a tour there because we are trying to conceive. The hospital maternity section seemed nice and the midwife that gave the tour was informative. I would highly suggest you go on a tour there to check it out.

The impression I got was that you give birth in the birthing suite in Monash Medical Centre and then you go back to the postnatal ward at Jesse McPherson. So you might want to go on a tour of the maternity public section of Monash Medical Centre to see the birthing suite because you do not go there during the Jesse McPherson tour. Maybe ask Jesse McPherson more about this or if you could go and see the birthing suite too during your tour there.

Hey I highly recommend giving birth at Jessie Mac!! I am pretty sure regardless of whether you are private (Jessie Mac) or public (Monash), you give birth in the same birthing unit ... however when I did ante natal classes there they did take us on a tour of the birthing unit as well as the Jessie maternity ward :smiliedance: BUt yeah definitely ask if they don't include the birthing unit on your tour :thumbsup:
