11 month old not sitting

Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone else has this issue
This is our first child.
My 11 month does not sit. When ever we try to make him sit he just rolls over and starts crawling. he can grab stuff for support and stand up and moves couple of step side ways but does not know how to come back down .
he just starts crying.

He usually sits in the tub during his bath hold on to the side rails.

My Son does have a big head he is 2 points outside the pink range on the graowth chart.

We had been to the doctor 2 months back they said he will improve and support his back soon.

He sounds pretty normal to me. DS is 13 months old and is still not walking. He can stand on his own for up to a minute, so he is close. He was crawling from about 6-7 months but he didn't sit properly until about 10 months. I think part of it was that sitting required not moving and getting into things, :laughing: and DS is constantly on the move. Your child is crawling and cruising, so I really wouldn't worry yet.

I agree with delirium. He will do it in his own time. My DS2 was the same. He was crawling before he could sit up but learn't to in time. He is still not walking but takes a few steps here and there and is 1 tomorrow.
