View Full Version : Have you become healthier since becoming a parent?

Hi

I never used to eat well before I fell pregnant. I never ate breakfast, I would have a chocolate bar for lunch, and maybe snack on something for dinner. Never really had proper meals as such.

Now I find with my DD, I am so much more cautious of what I eat, especially in front of her. I make sure I have the same breakfast, lunch and dinner as her so that she will eat with me. And because of this, it's all mostly healthy stuff!

Were you always a healthy eater? Or has parenthood made you more now?

Oh my goodness yes, just yesterday my Mum told me I'm a dirty hippie now!!! :laughing:

All because I want us to grow our own veges and fruit and have some chickens in the yard!

I'm a big geek about healthy living and the environment now, a big geeky geek! :D

yes, i eat more, therefore im healthier :)

i never used to eat brekky and i would get take away often.

now since i have ds i have no choice but to be organised and eat well, so he eats well too.

I eat just the same as I always did. I am a big chocoholic and that wasn't about to change.

In a huge way. I used to love takeaway, no we NEVER have any. I have lost over 30kg since my DS#1 was born.

Yes. I always eat a healthy breakfast now because she wants whatever I eat. And I try to eat more fruit and vegetables too. We also rarely have takeaway now.

I still eat heaps of chocolate though, but just do it while she isn't watching;)

no. no more 6 games of sport per week. 5 nights a week I would be playing sport and then on top of that would fill in for other teams sometimes as well.

I eat too much because I finish their meals. I know I shouldn't but I still do it.

I constantly put the kids first and so I don't do a lot of things I should do.
