I know its probably been done before but here it is again...

Kailah is now 6 weeks old and fully FF (BF didn't work, my horrible nipples combined with her 'chomping' resulted in weeks of healing!)
and I bled for 4 weeks after she was born.
The last couple of days I have had bad cramping like AF is coming.
TMI... To make it worse when I get out of the shower in the mornings I get a trickle of blood down my leg, like I had when my bleeding was stopping after birth. This is the only bleeding I've had during the day.
I am yet to have my postnatal check as my Dr is away on holidays and won't be back until next week.
I don't know what to make of this.

With DD1 I bled for only 2 weeks and then 4 weeks later AF returned and was regular as before.

I know with BF alot of mums don't have AF return for many months, so I guess this is really aimed at FF mums.

I really don't know if I should be concerned.

You see after Kailah was born I had to be readmitted to hospital due to an infection in my uterus, the pains I am getting seem like the start of this aloso.
So I am really confused right now.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Kris.

When i had Logan, i bled for around 2 weeks, then got af when he was around 3 weeks old

With Angus, i bled again for 2 weeks...then didn't get a period until he was nearly 6 weeks.

Both boys were fully breastfed though!

Feeling like the odd one out here....Andrew was 11 months before I got AF back, I had 2 AF's and now they've gone AWOL again.

Gotta love it.

3 months for me but I was breastfeeding/formua feeding at that stage.

Maybe knowing you have had an infection it would be safe to have it checked out with your GP until your doc gets back.

Hopefully it is just the return of AF for you and nothing else.

I stopped bleeding 3 days after my C/section :smiliedance: :D :smiliedance: and after that had no bleeding for a fortnight, then 4 days of heavy bleeding, then 3 weeks of nothing, then 6 weeks after birth got what I would describe as a 'normal' flow, been fairly normal flow, although irregular cycle lengths ever since then. :smiliedance:

I was pretty lucky it seems! DS was 8 months old when AF arrived. But luckily after 4 months of TTC, i will not have AF for at least 9 more months. :smiliedance:

I stopped bleeding 2 weeks after the birth and was only really heavy for the first couple of days....Then 4 weeks later a normal period for 3-4 days......and the same every month so far .....Boom every month !

With DS I was incredibly unlucky... I had 14 weeks of bleeding after birth and then 4 weeks later was back into my normal 6week cycle. He was exclusively getting breastmilk, I was expressing around the clock for the first 5 months.

With DD I bled for 5 weeks after birth and by 16 weeks was worried as I had no AF.. went to the doctors and found out I was already a month pregnant again so never got AF back obviously but was due to and concieved instead. She was exclusively getting breastmilk for the first 14 weeks, once again I was expressing around the clock and bottle feeding.

Thanks for your help girls.
I just still don't know what to think of these pains:confused:
I just wish my body would make up it's mind...bleed or don't bleed.?!?!

I will see my Dr when he comes back from holidays next week.
Maybe he might have some other ideas..?
