Hi there Dad's,
I just wanted to know if guys really show they love us (women) by making 'love' or if that's just a genius idea  that my husband came up with to get some!!! ???
What are the main ways you let your partner know that you love her?
:) Thanks
Everyone's different, and sex means different things to different people.
I think that for most guys, making love to their wife/partner is a way they can show them that they love them. But then again, other guys think of sex just as a fun thing to do...
It just really depends on who the guy is, how they think about sex, who they're with... etc.

Thanks so much for your reply. I agree. I know that my partner loves me, I just wanted to get another opinion!
I definately think that alot of guys do it just for fun!
I'd just never heard any other male say that it's their way of showing affection... so... was just checking!
Thanks again!

I think it is a bit of both (at least in my case)..
It is the ultimate way of showing love..but let's face it - it is enjoyable haha
It's also depends on how you define "making love" as it could mean a lot more than just the sexual act. If he wants to "make love" as a way to show he loves you it would be more of the stuff you like than what he likes if that makes sense.

I would have to say bit of Both........ I can say this with a bit of experiance.
But lets face it..... you have already married him now so it not like he is just saying it to trying to get into your pants for a 1 nighter.

I know thi was in the dads section but if you like books you should read one about languages of love...
It has helped my relationship (not saying you have issues) my huby is very physical as in likes to hold hands while shopping and the odd hug and stuff, this is how he feels loved, while I like communication... so he jsut needs to talk to me and e-mail for me to feel loved... It is a great book
SOrry again i know this was for dads...

Thanks everyone!
I think you're all right when you say it's a bit of both! It is fun :) And I def agree with V8 Crewy, he's not trying for a one nighter! LOL!
And lavenderpegasus, what do you think you're doing in here?!!! Just joking!
I think I will have a look at a book like that. I've never thought of it before. My partner and i have had issues lately and occasionally we have "those" kinds of issues, so that may help me.
Thanks again everyone for your input.

Genius idea yes! Showing love? probably show that when we wash up, or take the kids so you can have a night out!

HA! A night out... that's funny. My partner's never changed a single nappy! I can imagine what his night would be like if i wasn't there. He'd prob put paper down on the floor and just let the little one crawl around without a nappy and to keep our daughter quiet he's let have a whole box of cookies! he he he....
Maybe I should just appreciate his genius idea and be thankful that him showing love doesn't come in the form of the dodgey kitchen repair job that he left me with last year!
Thanks again
:)
when i was with my ex he showed me he loves me by buying me jumper cables for my car cause the battery was dodgy lol. he also bought me a fire extinguisher "to keep me safe" he eventually got the idea and bought me a gold diamond necklace but pity it came to late to save the relationship. all men are different. how are you guys going anyway hun?

It's mum1986! Yay! I hope you have been good?
Well.... we're still together. Things have been a bit up and down. I've PM'd you so it will explain everything!
LOL! He bought you Jumper Cables? How romantic! And a Fire Extinguisher! Geez... that reminds me of a simpson episode!
Yes all men are different. Some can be so helpful and then there's the one's like my partner that think it's a womans job. My fault really for picking him!
It was good to come on this dad's forum. To get other guy's points of view on this issue.
Thanks again everyone

Are you kidding!
Just yesterday i fell off a chair and the leg flew up and poked my backside while i was hanging onto a post!
And every night at dinner time I burn myself or at least smell hair burning!
Maybe it's a conspiracy... he's not buying me that stuff because he wants me to kill myself!
And it will look like an accident because it will be!...
Something new for me to ponder....

Sorry my ears were burning!!! You also bought me burn aid. And for the record I'm fabulous in the kitchen I just have a habbit of burning myself!!! Oh and for the record he didn't just buy me a fire blanket he bolted it to the wall in my kitchen so that when anyone comes over they learn the story o9f how I set fire to the kitchen, smoked out the house, set the alarm off and ended up going to bed with my hand in a bag of peas:rolleyes:
