hi there,
just wondering if anyone has used the eenie/weenie nappies before? they have a new one out which is like a pouch you can put a folded cloth nappy into just wondering are they good value for money? and more importantly do they work??

peace

I tried one of their nappies 3 years ago that you put a absobant, biodegratable pad in. I bought it at a baby expo and I found it leaked everywhere! The one you are talking about sounds different so i'm not sure how it goes. I did find their swim nappies very good though.

Hello,

I started using Eenie Weenies when my son was 1 month old. I had 4 Eenie Weenie pants which I used almost exclusively (except long trips in the car) until about he reached 15months.

The style I used was the nappy pants with velco tabs on the side and a removable plastic pouch. I cut my cloth nappies into thirds to use as inserts, and it worked beautifully. The nappy never leaked & were so easy to put on or take off. And they fit really well, with soft elastic edging and the velcro tabs mean they keep up with growing baby.

However, I made the mistake of washing the plastic inserts in a hot wash and after that they were not as effective. I had to buy new inserts ($10 ea) and that was fine.

I am a fan of the product and I don't understand why more mothers don't consider using them. I've kept my Eenies for our next child. We also used the swimmers as well (though they are a bit too expensive)

I love the Eenee nappies. I do however prefer the older style Eenee's though as they are prettier than the new ones!:p

Havn't had any problems with them whatsoever. I use cloth nappies as the insert pretty much all the time but when away for longer than a day from home we use the pads.

The new ones are pretty much the same as the old ones they both have a waterproof section the only difference is the new ones the pouch part snaps out.;)

I've only started with the eenees and are really loving them. I was using disposables before and they were my first experiment with cloth nappies. I only have 2 at the moment but use them with the microfibre nappies or disposable pads. I've just ordered some microfibre prefolds and hemp prefolds off Weewuns as they are a bit cheaper I think. DH also finds them really easy to use.

Would love to buy some more off ebay but I'm presuming people hang onto their 2-4 sizes? DS is a biggin'!

A lot of the real life stores that carried them don't any more but they are available on-line on many sites and they have their own site as well that you can buy from. I'm pretty sure their site has a retailer list as well which might help you locate some close to home
