So the BH annual event meet never really eventuated - so lets try again :goodvibes:

I propose Thursday the 7th of August - thats just over a fortnight away. Homebush or Darling Harbour seem to be the most accessible via public transport - so which location works?

Thoughts? Suggestions? :detective:

Homebush gets my vote!

Ashleigh<3
21-07-2008, 16:17
We'll be there.
I vote Darling Harbor-EASY!.:D
Easy to drive to Gordon, park and train it the rest of the way too.

The last time I went to Homebush meet, it was a shocker of a walk from the train station to the meeting place, it was at least a twenty min walk. :o Yeah I'm lazy.

If the meet is at Homebush I'll more then likely drive there. I need to learn how to drive there.:p

How about we have a day-meet with childers at HomeBush and then have an AO meet at Darling Harbour? If you can make either/or then at least its a catch up of some sort lol.

Or I'd be happy to do Homebush on the 7th of Aug and then Darling Harbour, say two weeks later?

All those b(.)(.)bies being flashed everywhere, talk of co-sleeping, children being spoken to like they are human & being made to feel bad about tying my kids up out the back with nothing more than a bowl of water.

Its just not, well. Natural

Beany
22-07-2008, 17:39
Train to Olympic Park and then a 15 minute hike up to the park :)

Kizmet

RmumR- I'm a coastie Mum too, so if you'd like to treck it down for the AO meet with me, you're more then welcome. :shakehands:

I propose...

Thurs 7 Aug - Homebush Play Meet

Thurs 21 Aug - Darling Harbour Play Meet

Sat 13 Sept - AO meet at Darling Harbour

Let me know who wants a PM with exact details (time, locations etc)

Beany

Works for us all around

nats
24-07-2008, 12:33
Sounds good to me. I wont be coming to the AO meet though :(... unless I can convince everyone that the clingy breastfed toddler on my hip is actually a ventriliquist doll :D

Where abouts in Homebush do you all meet then?

Beany
24-07-2008, 12:37
Bring the toddler with you, nats :)

24-07-2008, 12:43

Well, he is about the size of a 12 year old
He looks like a man in a nappy LOL

Beany
24-07-2008, 12:54
Yep :D The adults only meet is generally dinner. It's more a case of "no children necessary" rather than "no children welcome" :)

RmumR
24-07-2008, 12:58
Ally can i please have PM's with details for both the darling harbour meets the one with kids and the AO one, hopefully i can make one or the other if not both

MilkOnTap

I'll send out PM's soon - just wondering how everyone feels about me bringing chocolate haystacks? Only reason I ask is cause they have peanut butter in them... I will make sure they're in a sealed container - but is anyone coming with any potential allergies?

Beany
28-07-2008, 15:49
Asher can't have them but isn't allergic as far as I know :)

KaM
28-07-2008, 16:01
If Matilda was coming there would be an issue but as she is at daycare .. bring them along!!

MilkOnTap
28-07-2008, 16:07
Mmm - maybe I'll leave them for another time... Just in case.

Kizmet
28-07-2008, 16:08
Ab wont be eating them as much as she will probably beg too  but no allergy issues here

reAllytee
28-07-2008, 22:34
Dont think we had a nut issue here but Squeak isnt about to find out ;)

Bring 'em along im sure it should be fine unless there are allergy issues with others !

Im hoping to make both day meets :smiliedance:

Will probably just head to my mums after the Homebush one cause i have a cake to make !!!!!

Ashleigh<3
28-07-2008, 22:49
I'm going to do my best to attend the meets.
ATM I can't really make any promises due to certain reasons, but- you know me, I'll either show up- (late) or won't be there at all, of course I'll let you know if either occurs.

As for the AO meet, I'm in the middle of organising my 21st bday bash and it may be postponed in early Sept, depending on the vacancies of the venue I'm hiring.
I'll definitely avoid making it Sept 13th, so I can try my hardest to AO with you all, oh and I'd very much like to meet Nat and her ventriloquist doll :p.

jaydensmum
29-07-2008, 00:44

MilkOnTap
30-07-2008, 10:25
When I asked about the nut thing - the haystacks are just for mummies!!! They're FAR too good to share with kidlets (and also too hard to chew for little mouths)

KaM
30-07-2008, 14:26
When Matilda is around nothing is just for mummies!! . . . hehe . .

jaydensmum
02-08-2008, 14:11
Have the PM's been sent out for the meetup yet? I would love one when they are sent out. I found theres a bus from hurstville to olympic park, so that will be easy for me. :D

KaM
02-08-2008, 14:54
Oooh that's lucky!! Do you have a link for that bus ??

No pm's yet . . but I would assume its about 10.30/11 at the cafe like it normally is .. or at the playground . .

KaM
02-08-2008, 14:58
Nevermind! I found it .. it stops at Strathfield which is perfect for me and then you can get off opposite the park on Australia Avenue .. awesome!! :yelclap:

Beany if your still looking for a stroller I cant recommend this one enough. It turns on a 5c piece and is just so incredibly light weight - its incredible!

Yeah I think I should totally have both a Quinny and a Bugaboo
