View Full Version : Took first reponse pregnency test? one line lighter then other??am i?

I took two tests one yesterday and one today and there is two lines but one is lighter then other, Im worried I know it says one my be lighter but Im afraid to believe god that I'm pregnent, I think im in shock!!!

The lines don't have to match, I think it says so in the directions. So sounds like you're :bfp:

Even a faint line is posative. As the saying goes 'you cannot be just a little bit pregnant' :laughing:

when i did the test - i had one fainter than the other... def a :bfp:... off to the drs for a blood test!

When I had DD you could barely see the second line but was PG. Grats!!!!

Thank you, dont worry I think I will have many more questions coming up that I will need everyones advice for, Im not going any where!!!

Hi there
This definately means yes you are pregnant. This happened to me with the exact test and I was then told by my dr that the control line is always stronger and then the test line (thats the one that tells you if you are pregnant or not) this line can be the same colour or more often it is weaker as it is the test line that measures the HCG hormone in your body. Very early during a pregnancy (up to 3 weeks) the line will be very faint as the hormone levels are still very low- the levels actually double each day in the early stages of pregnancy.
So in other words - CONGRATULATIONS! You may want to go to your GP and request a routine HCG blood test which will confirm the levels of the hormone in your system which in turn confirms your pregnancy!
