Well I have no idea where I am in my cycle. Let me explain.June 15 my AF started that was day 25 of my cycle. It lasted 5 days and I had 2 days of brown spotting before hand which is normal for me.
Then on th 27th June day13 of my cycle after sex (TMI) I had a tiny little blod clot on the tissue paper. the next day, day 14 of my cycle I had a brown spotting and af like cramps. These continued and got worse as well as lower back pain. They eventually faded away by day19 of my cycle. Then on day 25 I had a bit of pink on the tissue paper after sex. Day 26 after sex I had bright red blood. But was gone after I wiped (TMI).On Saturday, day 28 the same again, except a lot more blood but gone after wiping. Later that day I started Brown spotting and had mild cramps. The same on day 29. AF started on day 30. Very heavy and the next day. 3rd day AF got very light. By day 4 it was hardly there at all. Like spotting. Only there when I wiped. I'm on day 7 now but I don't know what happened last month. Why AF was so short. Why I had mid cycle bleeding which I've never had before or why I was bleeding after sex if AF only started on day 30? i normally have brown spotting before AF which is consistent with it starting on day 30 with day 28 and 29 having brown spotting.
Anyone have any comments?

Ok - longwinded explanation as I dont know how much you understand about your cycle - so will explain that first. :D

Normally, from cd1 - cd14 a number of follicles develop in your ovaries, which contain eggs. One follicle matures more than others, and around the middle of your cycle, this follicle bursts and the egg is released. The follicle forms a corpus luteum (small cyst type thing) on your ovary, which releases progesterone. This progesterone builds up the endometrium - the lining in your uterus in which the fertilised egg implants. The prog from the corpus luteum runs out after about 14 days, and if an egg is implanted, the egg produces prog and HCG to stop your period. If no fertalised egg, then when the progesterone runs out and the endometrium disperses and this forms your menstrual period.

Sometimes if the follicle bursts earlier or there is some kind of problem with your ovulation it can create mid cycle bleeding ... and then because the corpus luteum isnt right it doesnt release the progesterone to build up your endometrium - and it runs out earlier, so you end up with af much earlier and much lighter.

If you have continued issues - then see your doctor, but this is not usually indicative of a major on going problem - just something that happens every now and then.
