I was wondering if any BH mums were members of AMBA?

I have tried to find where I can join via their website, but for the last few months it keeps telling me their local club finder is "not currently working" (it's been not currently working for 5 months now, when does "currently" technically need to be dropped from that sentence? )

So anyway I have fired off an email to an adress the website said could help me find a local club.

Anyway, aside from all this rambling, what benefits do you get from being a member? Is it worth the membership money? (A small amount, I know, but every bit helps) :detective:
TIA

Nomsie, i was a member of my local group, membership of which allowed me to be a member of AMBA. You get the magazine from AMBA on a quarterly basis (I think) which is handy, but I honestly found that the membership of my local group was far more important. They were the people I knew I could count on, they know what you are going through and can be there to help you if you need it. They also organise social events such as playgroups and nights out. Wait for AMBA to get back to you and then get in contact with your local group. Also a good idea to be in touch with them before babies arrive - it might be too hard afterwards. Glad to see things are still going along nicely for you.

I'd definitely recommend joining AMBA. Totally agree with Twinmum it is the local level support that you get that makes it worthwhile. Plus each branch has a library that you can borrow from so there is access to a huge range of resource material plus you benefit from the older multiple mummies experience.

Well I got the email back, but it appears my local group is nearly 2 hours away, even though I live in a pretty major town. I would have thought there would have been one closer than that.

Not sure what I will do now...

Shepparton. Apparently the closest one to me is Bendigo.
