nappies for premmies

I'm wondering where to purchase nappies for a premature baby? I live in south west Sydney.

im pretty sure huggies does prem nappies. maybe you could look on their website ? sorry im not much help :o also if ur wanting to use cloth just cut them in half to make them smaller (but for me thats too much work). im not sure about the prefold nappies though, im sure there would be a company somewhere to make them small enough for prem babes. have u dont a google search ?

Hi there, what size premmie are we talking about.

I found huggies size premmie nappies where the exact same size as babyloves up to 3.5kg nappies and IMO not made for premmies at all!!!

Moltex makes premmie nappies and 'aussie nappies' supplies them. I have the details here but it depends what size premmie you need nappies for. Moltex nappies say they are for up to 3.5kg bubs but from memory only fit DS up to about 2.5kg which is when he grew into huggies prem/babylove up to 3.5kg nappies.

If that sounds more appropriate for your bub let me know and I'll give you the details.

Not entirely sure of sizes. I have a friend who is expecting triplets and her sister who is organising the baby shower has said that they are having diff locating prem nappies as they live in the country, so I thought I'd get some to put in the hamper.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

My daughter has always worn newborn nappies, for a while she was just laying on them, then they put it on her when she was a bit bigger.

beck, have you asked the hospital staff (the ones in the nicu) i know when ds was in the nursery they were using the tiny nappies on him - that i asume were the premmie ones, as they could have fit my daughters baby doll (baby born like one) better than the huggies newborns one. and secondly, i was at a friends place yesterday and she has a little, little bubba and she is using the baby love newborns and they look soooo much smaller than the huggies ones. but it does come down to the babies sizes.
also if they are triplets, they will most likley be in hospital for a bit and the hospital should supply all the nappies till they get a bit bigger.

My daughter came home at 2kg. The newborn huggies came up to her armpits. An easy fix is just to fold down the top to a more appropriate level. The grip tabs made sure that the nappy still held in place.
