Bladder pain

Hi everyone,
I am 18 weeks pregnant and having a lot of bladder pain after I urinate. And sometimes after I go I feel as though my bladder is not fully empty. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me why this is happening.

Hi emms, I'm no doctor but from experience exactly as you describe it sounds like you my have a urinary tract infection. Apparently quite common in pregnancy. Go to your doctor or midwife clinic (even your local doctor) and they will get you to do a urine sample they will test to check for any infection. There are lots of safe antibiotics they can give you during pregnancy to clear this up really quickly.

Yep. Sounds like a UTI to me too. Get yourself off to the doctor asap. You dont want it to develop into something worse.

try taking some "URAL" available from most chemists, that should help. As does drining cranbery juice. Having said that, I would go to the Doctors anyway to get it checked out - just to make sure
