Play group-too late to start??

Hi everyone!
My daughter is 18 months, and I wish I had taken her to a play group, I was just wondering is it to late to start?? and what age do they stop??

Like the others have said its never too late to start going to playgroup. I think most playgroups are for children birth to 5 years.

hi, definetly not to old to start playgroup, in fact 18mths is the perfect time to start! she is at the age where she will start to want to join in with activities and play with other kids, have fun!!! :)

Not too late to start at all. I started my DD at 11 months which I think was too early. Now that she is two she will get far more out of it. The reason she started at 11 months anyway was because I needed some adult conversation. That is the other purpose of playgroup too. It is not just for your toddler to get out there and play but for you the parent to get out and chat to other mums & dads :)

I reckon that if you are keen you should go for it. You and your child will love it!:D

No, Never to late. Playgroup is for children 0-5 years. My youngest started when he was 2 months old.

Nah it isn't too late. My DD is a few months over 2 and we are only just starting a playgroup in May.

I have made my 2 best mummy mates at playgroup and a few more besides, its also great for the kids to socialise.

My DD started at 6months, and DS was 1 week old!

You get 2 free goes before you have to pay joining fees so that you can try some out, which I reccommend so that you can find one with children a similar age to your own.

No - it's not too late at all :) infact it's probably just right. My middle child went to playgroup until she was 5 and a half. So she'll get alot out of it still before she starts school.

I think she'll love it!

My daughter and I went when she was around 5-7 months (she's 9 months old now)...but because a lot of playgroup is activity-based, she wasn't interested or very social at all. At 18months...she can at least run around and have fun with the other kids and join in!
