sorry that i always have so many questions... i just like to know whats going on...
i know OPK dont work for everyone, but do the faint lines mean anything? i know it doesnt make the OPK positive but does LH start to increase leading up to O and then peak (giving a positive) then disappear again? or is it always present in some women so you'd get a faint line all the time?
because my cycle is all over the place, im just tring to figure out whether it will give a 'warning' that O will be occurring in the next few days

Hi trixiebelle17.
I am fairly new to using OPK's myself. I used them last year for 3 cycles & thought I had it down pat.. till now!
So this is a very interesting & important question... thanks for posing it!
From my recent experience so far, I have just used 5 in a row to check my O. I am not using the temperature method - BBT- just yet, but will next month to coincide with the OPK.
My 5 OPK went like this:
#1 - Faint
#2- Dark
#3- Dark
#4 -Dark
#5- Faint
Therefore I read it as being positive 3 times & O should have occurred sometime during those 3 days.
Taking BBT should help pinpoint the actual moment of O give or take.
We BD'd as much as possible without overdoing it before during & after for safe measures LOL
FertilityFriend (first input with no cycle days recorded due to irregular cycles) had me O CD14 (today) which is 2 days after my last +OPK.
I found FF also to have a lot of good advice & tips on OPK, HPK & other concerns re ovulation, conception & fertility.
Good Luck to you & hope my lil story helped if only a tiny bit?? I'm sure you probably knew all this anyways & i've just bored you to tears! LOL
I just got my first OPKs in the post today & im like a kid at xmas lol, I just wanted to Pee on one to see if it worked
Ive never used them before and have also just started temping so Ill be keeping my eye on this thread.

ive been reading FF info but hadnt seen anything about faint lines... glad to hear im not the only one with the question... i couldnt exactly search cause the term OPK would have brought almost every past every written
im hoping i get a positive soon!!! u got three in a row how crazy is that!
i started temping this cycle, but becuase u don't know until after u o, its not as useful as trying to figure out this cycle when the right time is coming up :)
