I like to get my DD out of the house every day for an activity. She gets bored if she's at home all day. She's 11 months and nearly walking.

We attend playgroup, the library reading/nursery rhyme thing for babies, we go to the park for picnics and she does swimming lessons. On our activity free days (Tuesday and Thursday) I've been going to the shops. I've nearly worn my name off the credit card and will have to stop going to the shops.

What do you do?

i like to have lots of days at home as i have a 9.5 mth old who still has 3 sleeps per day, so for my DS i do painting, play doh, i build ramps for his cars to go down, stuff with water, the odd attempt at papier mache, and walks in the pram, or when i['m bored too i go to those indoor playgrounds. i do mothers' group also, and they go to daycare once a week.

If I had a car, I'd get out more.

Wednesdays we go to playgroup, Thursdays to mothers group and weekends we visit respective families.

Its starting to get tough to fill in the days, now that Andrew is rejecting day sleeps at every turn. Sigh.

Lucky he likes to amuse himself a lot. :D Takes a bit of the pressure off having to come up with planned activities. Its very unstructured here!:D

We don't do much in the way of playgroups and stuff like that...but our week usually goes something like, mon-grocery shopping, tues-storytime, wed-walk to fruit shop, sometimes go into the op shop near there and get DS a toy, thurs-daycare, friday-picnic at the park. I only have a car on mondays so I have no choice but to do groceries that day.
When we are at home we do painting, playdough, sometimes we bake cakes, etc....slime is great :D I have a small inflatable pool that DS goes in with his bowl of slime so it's easy to clean up when he's done, but the bath would work for that too.
I'll come back if I think of anything else.

My 8mth old DD is now crawling and is needing more stimulation, so our week usually goes like this. Mondays, we go walking with my mum's group and then we go to nusery rhymes group at local library. Tues and Weds I usually work half the day, so DD is with her grandma on one day and nanna the next. On Thurs we go to mums group, Friday is our day at home, Saturday she goes swimming lessons with her dad and Sunday can be a quiet day at home or visiting friends/family.
I find that I need to have a balance between going out and doing activities, with also some quiet time at home playing, so she still has her daysleeps and solids/bf without too much disruption to her routine. We might start playgroup when she's about 1.

My nearly 10 month old is walking around the house now. To be honest things have slowed down a little as she had mastered crawling at a very fast SPEED! She can only go steady now on her 2 feet .. wonder how long it will take her before she starts walking fast
We wake up together and the day begins. My partner works shift work and is home quite alot. We go the shops alot and I love playing with Brooke .. I'm always found on the floor with her reading, playing with toys. We go outside once a day and watch the cat and water the plants and get the mail from the front. The day goes pretty fast around here now. Grandma visits alot and we catch up with friends for coffee when we can.

I plan on Joining a playgroup soon and we have a playdate next week with a friend and her baby we just met.

I love being a Mumma.

Hello,

My 4mth DS and I spend our week doing various activities. We attend Mum and Bub classes at a place called Active Generation in Paddington, Brisbane, Qld.

It is quite cheap for $23 pw membership you can attend as many classes as you like with your baby and also Adult classes for you on your own, they also have classes for toddlers and school aged children.

Monday morning is Baby Massage classes or visit parents at Redcliffe for the day
Tuesday morning is Mum & Bub Strength classes, then home in the arvo for play or visit in-laws at The Gap
Wednesday morning is Bright Babies followed by Mum & Bub Stretch classes, then home
Thursday morning when classes start Baby Sign Language

All the above activities are at Active Generation.

Friday morning currently is Mummy and Me Yoga classes at Toowong with a company called Yogababy.

Saturday morning will be swimming lessons with Dad when Dad is ready, in the arvo takes DS shopping and Sunday could be anything from outings to staying at home.

In between all this I try and go for walk, have picnics in the park, do shopping etc.

I am thinking of joining a playgroup on Fridays instead of the Yoga so my baby is able to meet & interact with other babies and for me to meet other mums.

I'm not in any mothers group etc. at the moment and so for a 1st time mum trying to learn what to do for DS.

So as you can see my DS at 4mths has a busy schedule already!

Cheers!
