Just a bit of waffle from me really :ecomcity:,
I was just thinking that even though I think of my emergency CS as a horrible thing ( I cant call it a birth because I dont feel like I birthed him) and extra horrible as he was so small it is really a miracle he came out when he did :angel:.
He was IUGR which means inter-uterine growth retarded and so when he was born at 29 weeks and six days he was approx the size of a 27 weeker. So if he has been born at 27 weeks when I started getting ill he would have been approx 500g and would have struggled even harder to survive :no:.
You would think that I would wish he had stayed in longer but the other twist is that I had HELLP syndrome which was causing my liver, kidneys etc to fail and I was generally in the sh*t which was causing the placenta to fail which in turn was starving him of oxygen and nutrients inutero and he might not have lived another 48 hours if he had stayed in :no:.
Se even though it was a crappy experience it's amazingly lucky he was surgically removed when he was!
