I have bought one, from the recommendation of a friend on here, yet to put it together, we are slack, but like the idea of putting a toddler seat in it later on, and the fact they are light, think about 9kgs, and they are narrow, they fit through those security bars at target and so on......

Can't wait to use mine

I have one...

I have a nearly two year old, and we are expecting number two...

I love it, but have bought another, cheaper light weight stroller to use until bub arrives as ds doesn't really need it that often.

Tip - buy the double covers - sun and rain not the single

Hey bloggedissue, I haven't bought any accessories yet, should I? I was told the UV cover was good, was going to get that.

But your tip on the double covers - sun and rain not the single, I am guessing that is what you are talking about. So if I only have a single for a year or so, would the double be a hinderance???

I love the Phil and Ted pram. Fantastic for small cars and for walking etc.

In the way of accesories I would definately buy the single uv cover (they have a good resale value on ebay anywau) and then when the time comes that you need a double buy it then!

Do not get the phil and ted sheepskin though it is rubbish I wasted my $50 on that! Was not impressed, the wool comes out of it all over bub's clothes!

If you have any other questions about it please ask!

Thanks Oscar's mum, so just the single UV cover, don't really need anything else. Did you have a newborn in your phil and ted? And if so I don't need any accessories for that do I? I have an insert but not a sheepskin one, I don't like those, too hot is my opinion.

Ozzy was around 3 months when we bought our Phil and Ted. Sheepskins are actually great in the heat and the cold. In the heat they will keep baby cooler by absorbing the sweat. So for a newborn I would definately still use some type of insert in the pram. Depending on when your baby is due their are some really nice inserts by Phil and Ted great for newborns.

The cocoon (good for winter)
The race seat (I would use this from probably 7 months)
buggy bunny (these look awesome)
and the lambskin liner (which as I mentioned is rubbish)!
Sleeping bag (not too sure about them).

But yeah definately just get the single uv cover we did that and used it heaps and heaps now we have number 2 on the way when the time comes I am selling it on e-bay and will buy the double then! Also keep an eye out at your local baby stores their was a batch of the uv covers not that long ago that had a slight fault. The fault was that the studs that are attached to the cover fall off easily. This can easily be replaced at your local shoe repairman for about $5. I picked up one of these covers for $20! Bargain!

The other accesories I like are the pannier bags, which I think would be great if you are a bit of a pack horse and like to take everything possible you could need for bub (including the kitchen sink) and the bacpack which snaps onto the handle of the pram (if I can remember correctly the backpack comes in the pram colours and are $80 and the pannier bags you get x2 grey only for $90! I think!

We have begun looking for a new pram, and decided to look for a double in case we end up having a baby and a toddler (you never know :D )

The Phil & Teds is really appealing to me but after reading this info on the Choice website, I'm not too sure.

Article attached for your info.........

I guess as far as that goes JUSTCOOKED, I am going off personal recommendations and people that I am close to love it, so that is good enough for me.

I agree! Most people I know who have it love it as well which is why I was keen to look into it further but the Choice test has swayed me a little.

We've been to 4 different baby shops and all said Phil & Ted C3
is their best seller. They also said that this is the top of the range pram and that chances of something going wrong with it are next to nothing. We are seriously considering buying one.

I have had the Phil & Teds E3 for about 6 months, I think it is basically a good buy, considering the options out their for a toddler & a baby.

I have a 2 year old and a 4.5 month old, I found it great at first although it is a bit difficult to get your newborn out from under the toddler seat if they are crying etc or need to be fed.

My only issue with it is that my 4.5month old is getting too long to lay in the baby part of the pram ( as the toddler seat goes on the front ) but is too small to sit in the seat ( when you attach it at the back ) - if you know what I mean - I'm sure it will improve when my youngest is big enough to sit up in the seat attachment in the 2 toddler mode. Another downside is that you can not access the storage basket when you have the pram in toddler and baby mode - so you have to carry around anything you pick up at the shops, it's a bit of a hassle!

Sometimes I wish I bought a side by side pram instead so I could have easier access to my youngest and he wouldn't feel so shut in ( he doesn't like it in there because he can't see out at all ).

it's hard to know until we use it for ourselves i guess...hehehe! i have read a heap of reports - some good, some not so good. in the end i guess every pram will have pros and cons. the reasons i went for the Phil & Teds are:
> it's narrow - easy to get thru aisles in supermarkets etc
> it's light - i'm a wuss
> it's funky looking - i'm a sucker!!
> it's perfect for adding a toddler seat - i'm clucky and am sure will go for number two when this one in my tummy is not too old!!!

A few of the mothers from my mothers group bought the Phil and Ted. They loved it. But apparently there is gossip going around that it will not meet Australian Standards with the double pram. My sister-in-law bought the Beema by Swallow (similar style pram) and loves it. So if anyone can confirm the rumours that would be great, but look into it before you buy.:detective:
