OK, so I have been stalking this thread for ages trying to educate myself and just when I think I have things sussed I go and confuse myself again!:(
I have convinced my hubby of the wisdom of going cloth and he has said go for it!! :smiliedance: (silly man!!!) but heres the thing - I thought that I would go with OSFA pockets for convenience and value for money (I'm liking GK, BBH, Itti Bittis and Bum genius at the mo) BUT I have been reading that alot of you ladies think that prefolds or fitteds with covers are the way to go for a newborn.
Is that correct??
If so which covers work best with which fitteds/prefolds? and whats the best thing to do at night?
Please help! I'm dying to spend some money!! hehe!!

Hi, the most popular fitted's are the Baby Behinds Bamboo and I have been told the best covers are the thirstie covers although others do just use the BB pul covers. For overnight I am planning on using the same nappies with a wool cover. I hope that helps.

Thanks for replying SOL!
I'll check out the BBB's. Haven't heard of the thirsties covers though - where would I find them?
Anyone else with any much appreciated advice?

There are quite a few sites that do a multiple brands. Some good ones are Nurture nappies, darlings downunder and wee wuns - all . com . au. Also if you know the brand name you can also just google to find different suppliers. Good luck. BEWARE - Very addictive!!

I have Baby Beehinds Bamboo fitteds :) I also have some ittibitti d'lish but they are all in ones(but sooo gorgeous) and some berryplush AI2s:) you can use the berry plush as covers I find them great over the BBBs  or you can snap in the insert to make it an all in 2

I wil be using prefolds with a mix of covers when this bub arrives in 5 weeks or so. The thirsties are good as they have leg gussets so there is less chance of poo escaping from the legs if you have a skinny bub. I am also using bummis covers, and have beehind covers to go over fitteds for after the bub gets bigger. I have a bundle of baby beehind bamboos from my son that I dont use much on him- I am hoping that I will be inspired to use them with the baby girl!!

Ok girls - I just found the thirsties covers you are talking about and I'm wondering if they need to be snug fitting - ie would you get an extra small for a newborn or can a newborn get away with a small so it lasts longer?
Cherrybaby - do you fold the prefolds into a pad to fit into the cover or do you put them on like a nappy with the cover over the top?
