Sneezing - Ouch!!

Hi everyone,

Has anyone experienced painful sneezing while laying in bed?

I feel like I pull some muscles in my stomach area when I sneeze.

Is it just me??

Nope not just you..
I'm not due in Jan, but Feb and I've had this with all three of my pregnancies - usually when I cough I have to sit up or tuck my legs up. I always assumed it was ligaments... but whatever it is - its so so painful! :crying:

It's happened to me too!! I did it a couple of times and said to myself I wasn't ever doing that again lol. So now I roll on my side or bend my knees up.

I get this too, but put it down to previous c section as it did not happen in the first two pregnancies. Thought perhaps adhesions. Weird.

Also really sharp pain in the same spot if I need a wee and try to roll over in bed...anyone had that one?

I get it all the time when I sneeze...and sometimes even when I cough.... whether I am lying, sitting or standing... sometimes it really hurts.... so I have to hold my belly and brace myself half the time... I must look like a knob when I do it! :laughing:

I am not in your due thread but I have had this for about a month.

Usually when lying flat on back in bed if I cough or sneeze I feel like I have pulled a muscle!

Thanks everyone, I'm so glad it's not just me.

After the excruciating pain, I can't help laughing at the way I'm bracing my stomach like I'm having a contraction not sneezing. :laughing:

yeah sneezing, blowing my nose, coughing. If I know it's coming I drop to the ground hold my tummy and prepare. It hurts alot but only lasts a minute or so.

i have a sharp pain whether i am standing up or laying down- and i seem to be sneezing about 50 times more than normal at least 4 or 6 times a day (i sneeze in twos lol)

having just recovered from the flu which had me sneezing and barking non stop for about 2 weeks, i haftoo say i haven't experienced any pelvic pain whatsover.
my main problem has been peeing myself every time a huge sneeze or cough comes on. had to start intense pelvic floor training.
besides that only thing i have really noticed is that while lying down sneezing my head off goobie started wriggling around :smiliedance:

far out it hurts ....
