Hi everyone,

My name is Milley and I live in Christchurch with my wonderful partner of almost 8 years, Will.
I never pictured finding my soul mate at 37, I always thought I would be married with lots of wonderful children running through the house and playing in the warm breeze of our backyard by the time I was 30.

At the age of 43 I sat in our doctor’s office, after suffering a miscarriage, a D&C and 5 years of unprotected SX later, staring in the face of infertility. It was the first time I had heard the term Egg Donor and it was the only option I had left, as even adoption was out of the question as I would be outside the age bracket by the time the paper work was all approved.

To discover the only way to achieve a life long dream of holding our own child was to rely on the selfless act of another’s generosity, was almost too much to contemplate. Coupled with the clinics’ waiting list for an egg donor was 8 years long I had all but given up.

I knew nothing of the donor world but quickly found myself deep in Google. So instead of waiting 8 years I joined AED and was honoured to have met a lovely donor. We cycled twice, once in Brisbane, where my infertility journey began and once here in Christchurch resulting in 5 transfers and no success. My donor suffered hyper stimulation on our last cycle and for that reason I could not ask her to cycle again. She and her lovely boys will remain true friends and advocates until I am old and grey. I then thought to broaden our search for a donor angel or donor eggs to join Bubhub and here we are.

In all honesty, to say we didn’t have a good experience in Christchurch would be an understatement and for that reason we have decided to return to our Fertility Specialist in Brisbane at the QFG clinic and to find another donor or someone to donate embryo's.

A Donor Angel
We are looking for a wonderful caring donor under the age of 35 and over the age of 18 who is willing to give us the opportunity of fulfilling our dream of having a family. Although we are looking for a donor in Brisbane or surrounds, we would really be grateful to hear from anyone willing to donate in any area of Oz. We of course would take care of all medical bills and expenses.

Donor Eggs
While we hadnt originally thought about donor embies it never occured to us, we would be over the moon with this option as well.
I spend quite a bit of time in Brisbane and would be happy to meet for a chat or a coffee before any decisions are made. We are also happy to have as much or as little contact with our PED in the future.

About Us
We have been together for almost 8 amazing years. I am 45 years old and my best friend, soul mate and cheer squad Will is 41, we live in Christchurch at present but are looking to move north where the breeze is not so arctic and where we have enough land for the kids to roam and learn. We own our own home and are financially secure. I work in aviation safety and Will is a pilot.

Having children drives me and has done for some time, I love organics, natural medicine, massage, sewing and I’m learning how to knit I am always dabbling in some new potion or lotion to prevent using chemicals☺. Will is passionate about having children, growing native trees to rejuvenate the land, wood work, and wooden boats. He will be an amazing father always taking our friends children on journeys of learning whether they are 2 or 12 he is an amazing caring person.
Together we share a passion for life and living which would be made complete by having a child of our own. If any of our story strikes a note of interest, I would love to know you please feel free to send me a PM.

Thanks for taking the time to read our story.
Milley and Will☺

Hi Kelly,

Oscar's Mum is a star and she is shining over our house :yelclap: We met here on Bubhub and have had coffee a couple of times, she is a little sweety and she has two gorgeous little ones and a compassionate, caring and understanding man by her side.

We have an appointment booked for 21st to see the FS so hope to know more of the plan after that.

How are things with you Kelly? Do you have some dates planned?

Hi Milley
Now that you are talking to a PED, we'll close this thread for you ATM. It will make it easier for PED to find the ppl who are still actively searching. However, if you need it reopened at any time, just let me know.

Please keep dropping in on the ED issues section, we'd love to keep up with your journey there. Feel free to start a new thread there if you like.

Very best wishes that all is working out for you all.

Cheers
