Hi To All

I am new to this forum today.

My husband and I have been TTC since October 2007, still no luck!

Mt period was 17 days late and I got it thismorning, not sure why it was this late. Has this ever happened to anyone else whilst they are TTC, it kind of got my hopes up big time!

Thanks everyone

Hi KMS we have been TTC since Nov 2007 & we thought it would be a piece of cake so its hit us pretty hard that its taken this long but :fingerscrossed: this is our month and yours.

I dont no if this will help but last year before we started TTC my period just disappeared for 7months! I hadnt been on the pill, hadnt had a miscarriage, it just went. I had a pretty average Dr to say the least, who did nothing but told me just to wait. when I finally saw a gyn (after my period returned) I was told it was just 'one of those things' :(
Hopefully it was just a one off for you. Good luck

Hi KMS

We have a buddy group for those TTC#1, you should come & join us - http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=186423

The group is great, you get lots of support & advice.

In regards to myself, DH & I have been TTC since Aug 07. We fell pregnant in Oct but sadly miscarried in Dec (was missed m/c so baby stopped growing at 5 & a half weeks but I didn't m/c until 11 weeks). My cycle didn't get back on track until April. AF for this month was due between 3-6 but didn't come when she was supposed to. I had pregnancy symptoms so I did HPT on 6th, 8th & 12th but all :bfn:. What could be AF appeared on 13th (sunday) however, I feared that it could be either a m/c or ectopic pregnancy so I saw the dr yesterday. She did a BT & I get the results today. If it's positive, I'll need to have a scan to check for m/c, ectopic or viable pregnancy (highly unlikely as pregnancy symptoms are disappearing). If it's negative, I'll start to have some more testing done. :gloomy:

I hope you get your :bfp: soon but in the meantime, you should definitely join us in the TTC#1 buddy group. :goodvibes:

Even women with regular cycles can get the odd freak cycle. Perfectly normal although annoying as hell.

Hi KMS good luck TTC.

AF can be a tricky little thing, mine has been Missing-In-Action since May! I think its just one of those things. Keep your chin up, it'll be your :bfp: before you know it.

KMS I think the exact same thing is happening to me, yet I am now 11 days late and still no period. I was so convinced I was pregnant that I made a doctor's app't, and she did a blood test and it came back today with a big negative.

I just wanted to ask, when you were late were you feeling bloated and hard down near the pubic bone? Because my friends say this is where it gets hard when you get pregnant, i thought for sure this was it. But, I didn't have any spotting or sore boobs, so was confused.

But I'm not, so back on the wagon we go.

Hey. Yeah I am still trying to get over the fact that I was 17 days late, I was starting to feel very sure that this could be it, was speaking to my husband about it, and then the next morning (out of no-where!!) There was my friggin monthly visitor, I was shattered. I thought my stomach felt hard down the bottom, but I could have been imagining this. My boobs weren't sore, and usually they get sore right before my period. Its such a stressful time. But yes, now I (we all) just have to relax and try to forget about it and have fun....then hopefully I will get a positive result very soon (and you also) I think blood tests are pretty correct, but see how u go....best wishes!!!

Yes blood tests are fairly conclusive, I think the hardest part has been that even though I got a negative, there's still no explaination for it.

But I'm only 11 days overdue, some women i've read on here are much more than that and I really feel for them, it's SO frustrating.

I'm thinking of trying acupuncture to help with blood flow and stress... even though I don't think I'm stressed about it, subconsciously when you're 'trying' I think it's impossible not to be thinking about it and worrying about it constantly.

I know its very hard to not think about it when thats all u want, is the :bfp:!! It will come, when its ready I guess, I just wish it would hurry up for all of us, I hate this waiting game......its very stressful! Well best wishes to you, let me know how the acupunture (spelling!?) goes. xx
